TOPIC: PRACTICAL STEPS FOR BREAKING FREE FROM ADDICTION.

Pratical steps means the things that are within your control. They are things we can handle, things that are visible

When it comes to addiction, two things you must know:

1. Self honesty: You tell yourself the Truth , tell yourself the things you are addicted too
2. Admit that addiction is a problem: Addiction is a problem not a character default, it is something you have to stop by yourself and before you can solve the problem, you have to admit it is a problem

Pratical ways we can break free from addiction includes:

1. Have a set date in mind/Set a target for yourself – Giving yourself a date to work within to stop an addition , Don’t set a target you cannot meet , especially addictions that has strong hold
2. Change your environment – Environment poses a very big problem when it comes to addiction
3. Learn to distract yourself – For example, When you are addicted to a tv , when it is time for that thing , you distract yourself with other things , Always find an alternative you’re not going to get addicted too
4. Create a healthy support network – Have good people in your life that can check you, Why people get overwhelmed with addiction is because nobody is there to support them , so they get deeper and deeper in Addiction, You get people who are sound enough to monitor you
5. Talk to a counselor – Look for someone you can trust and confide in the person, let the person know what you are struggling with , let the person know your weakness . Get a professional counselor, Someone who won’t make us feel bad. When it comes to addiction don’t feel you are the worst person
6. Meditation

We must understand we are powerless when it comes to addiction, this means when you are with an addiction, you don’t have power on our own to stop it, that’s why we need God, the power from above to do it
