TOPIC: EVIL FOUNDATION
TEXT: Psalms 11:3 If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?
Memory verse : Joshua 6:26 And Joshua adjured them at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before the LORD, that riseth up and buildeth this city Jericho: he shall lay the foundation thereof in his firstborn, and in his youngest son shall he set up the gates of it.
FOCUS
Today we are looking at evil foundation as another vision killer. The righteous is helpless when there’s a faulty foundation. The foundation you lay for your vision is very important. If your vision is from God and you refuse to seek God to take the requirement of the vision, the step by step approach of the vision, you decided to consult men and they mislead you, you will see that the foundation of that vision is already faulty. Any vision that is from God must be kept by God. When there’s a problem in the vision, you must go back to the giver.
Counsel is good but there are so many people that they have cancelled their vision through evil counsel. Every man will only give counsel base on his knowledge, his experience, his exposure, his spiritual understanding and many other factor that contributes to it. If you want to succeed, be a good visioner, you must do everything to make sure the foundation you lay for your vision is correct and concrete.
The word of God is still the tool for every vision. You want to build a lasting vision, then get the word, get all the requirements you need, get revelation, get insight, go for knowledge, read books, compare spiritual things to spiritual things, look for people that are seasoned in your area. Don’t forget, there’s no new vision. God can give you a vision to be an improvement on a previous vision or on a generation that has passed or for you to be a forerunner. But there will be somebody who has a similar vision that God is giving you
You must make sure your vision has good foundation because the strength of every building is determined by the strength of the foundation. You can’t want to build a story building and lay foundation for a bungalow. Sooner or later, the building will collapse. Vision is like building a destiny, a structure, you need your iron pillars, concrete, everything to make sure your life is stable. If your vision will not cry, you need a good foundation.

Psalms 18:7 Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth.
Anytime you are building a structure for God and you don’t build according to structure, every foundation will be tested. But if your foundation is not well laid, then when the storms,trials, challenges will come, it will be tested. Whether you are doing the right or wrong thing, there must be a testing time. The strength of your foundation is what’s determines how strong your vision will go.
You are not been persecuted because you are doing the wrong thing, even those doing the right will be persecuted. If your foundation is not solely built, you will discover that when storms comes, there won’t be stamina to stand it. But when you are sure of the foundation you have laid, then you know it’s a walk over.
I know you want to build a lasting vision; every visioner must be futuristic in their approach to God. If you are in a phase now that you are suffering from opposition, it’s not that you are wrong, it could be that, the foundation of your vision needs to be tested. It is the strength of the foundation that determines the strength of the building. So, take your time don’t be in haste, dig deep , go for knowledge, consult, ask questions from right people, go for research and when all these are done, you will discover that God himself knows that’s you have set a concrete foundation. But when you build shabbily, when the storms, rain, opposition comes, the vision will not be able to stand the test of time. It is my prayer that God Almighty will settle you, you will have inner might to stand all storms of life wherever they are raging from and God himself will be happy that He has given you a vision that will last long. Your vision is for a generation, don’t abort it with wrong foundation.
