TOPIC: FEELING OF UNWORTHINESS
TEXT : 2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

FOCUS
Today we are looking at feeling of unworthiness as another enemy of faith. Christ himself never knew sin but what was his objective for going this far, for paying the debt he didn’t owe, going extra mile for you and I. It is because he didn’t want us to feel unworthy.
One of the things that have hindered people from exercising faith is this feeling of unworthiness; can God hear me, I am not worthy, if I exercise my faith will it work? This is an issue that needs to be addressed because Christ became our righteousness so that we can have access to divinity and be sure that we are children of God.
When God is at work, the devil bows. God does not have anything to drag with satan but satan wants God’s children to feel unworthy. This morning I want you to lift your head high above every situation and say ” I am Worthy” what made you worthy is the Blood of the Lamb. The only thing that can make you feel bad is the consciousness of sin which Christ has dealt with on the cross of Calvary.
Christ already knew we are going to battle with a lot of things so, He came and said No, the world of sin is over. I want you to exercise faith and destroy everything that makes you feel unqualified, ask God to cleanse you by His blood. Christ has become our righteousness; if it’s by work, nobody will qualify; it is by grace. Don’t forget, your faith cannot work as long as you feel unworthy before Him.
LESSON
2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ
Feeling unworthy is a low self esteem in the spirit, it is a state whereby you feel, who are you to exercise faith before the Almighty God. Even though God wants us to exercise faith but there is still this feeling in you that; who am I to exercise faith, you feel your sins are so numerous that God cannot hear you.
So, what do you do? You cast out your feelings or imaginations. Christ has redeemed us from the power of sin, from the enemy called satan, whom we were once under his tutelage, we were slaves of sin but Christ came and paid the price. So whenever you feel unworthy before your father, begin to cast down imaginations, consciously cast down every sin, bring them to obedience by subjecting it to the word of life, prioritize that you have been redeemed, Christ has paid the price and as you do that, God bless you. Amen.
