TOPIC: FAITH IS GOD’S RIGHTEOUSNESS
TEXT : Romans 1:17
For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
Memory Verse : Ephesians 6:23 Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
FOCUS
Today, we are looking at faith is God’s righteousness. Many people are trying to reach God by their own righteousness and left faith out. Each time you operate in faith, you are showing forth the righteousness of God. The righteousness of God is what Christ did for you on the cross of Calvary.
The bible says, all our righteousness is like a filthy rag. In the sense that, we cannot use works to showcase it, righteousness is taking God and what He has done on the cross and live according to his expectation for us. Mam has always tried to reach God in his own terms; remember Adam and Eve after the fall, they were now trying to use their senses to reach God but it never worked. They cut fig tree to make clothes for themselves but God said no, this is not how I want it, I want to cloth you with my righteousness and live by faith.
Faith is for living, you have to live by it. Every day, you must be conscious that there’s something God has done that makes you to live in a state of righteousness. It’s not something that is fake, it’s real. We can only please God by faith and righteousness is by faith, not what we struggle to do but accepting what He has done.
LESSON
Hebrews 10:38
Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
After salvation, the most important thing to you as a child of God is your faith. In this kingdom, faith is the currency we use to live, to obtain good report, to quench the ferry darts of the enemy, to silence the rages of storms contrary to our peace.
God has strategically given us the weapon of faith so that we can live a life if testimony. Testimony means good reports. Do you want good report in 2023 that has to do with your righteousness, then live by faith. You can’t claim to please God when your faith is in shackles; faith has to be built, cultivated, developed not just for good report but to quench the ferry darts of the enemy.
Faith is obtainable if you can build it. Faith produces, it has products, it is not abstract. I want you to just ask God this morning; cloth me with your righteousness and believe it. Abraham believed God and it was counted for righteousness for him. And he became the father of faith by the righteousness of Christ. Stay blessed!

Father deliver me from self righteousness in Jesus Mighty Name.

Righteousness is delivered, received by faith and it is sustained by faith.
