TOPIC: FAITH IS NOW
TEXT: Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Memory Verse : Matthew 9:20
And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment
FOCUS
Today we are looking at Faith is now. The word now means faith is in the present, not in the future, faith is now, not tomorrow or next. Each time you are looking at the word faith, you are looking at the word now.
When you are applying faith, you apply it to the present situation in your hands. From our opening scripture, the woman applied her faith immediately, present continuous, while she was there, Christ saw her faith and it produced immediately, it didn’t delay.
When God is about to do something, you have to learn how to apply your faith instantly. I want you to know that God wants you to apply your faith now, at the point of event, no delay, no procrastination and no justification of maybe or maybe not and as you do this, I see your faith produce in Jesus Name (Amen)
LESSON
John 2:4
Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.
Mary and Jesus went to a wedding in Canaan of Galilee and they told her there was no more wine. She got up knowing fully well that Jesus was a supernatural child, went to him and said; there’s no wine. Jesus said to her; my hour is not yet come. That means that faith can’t produce now and she said to the servant; whatsoever he tells you to do, do it. When they carried out the instruction as given by Jesus, the result was a fresh sweeter wine.
Even though Jesus told his mother that his hour has not yet come, Mary’s faith couldn’t be denied. God will never say no to faith, faith is a living force and an active faith is a living faith. When your faith is active, your life will move in the direction of your faith. This year I don’t want you to sit and watch some certain things. Even though the time of that thing has not yet come, faith can bring it forward. Look at the woman with the issue of blood, she said in her heart, if I may touch and immediately her faith worked for her. A virtue left from Jesus to her, the flow ceased. This is an active faith and an active faith is the faith of now and when it is now then, it will get result; don’t delay it. Stay blessed!
