TEXT: John 11:41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.

FOCUS
Our opening scripture this morning is what I call thanksgiving in advance. 2022 will soon pass away, you have to thank God in advance for 2023. While you are thinking of 2023, God said He has gone ahead of you. That project you want to do in the new year, God said He has gone ahead.
I want you to lift up your voice this morning and celebrate God for going ahead of you. In our opening scripture, Lazarus was still dead and yet, thanksgiving had proceeded. It means thanksgiving proceeds testimony. If you can’t thank God in advance, He can’t advance you. It takes thanksgiving to advance in life and in destiny.
When you can’t see what He can do, then He won’t do what you can see. We have seen the end of 2022 like a joke, I want us to appreciate God because it didn’t see our end. God has been faithful to His word, He has blessed us, provided for us, kept us, we are the ones ending the year.
Thank Him in advance so that He can advance you in the New year. May God’s name be exalted forever. No man on earth can go ahead of you like God, God has gone forth and all you have to do is to see what He is doing.
LESSON
Colossians 1:3 We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you
God said He has gone ahead to 2023 to pray for you, He is waiting for you to come over into the new year. God has gone ahead and that is the joy of it. What you can’t see, you can’t take and you can’t possess. You have to see beyond that God has gone ahead so there’s no need to worry yourself.
God wants you to celebrate, go ahead and celebrate, go ahead and worship, dance before Him. All the months of the new year, God has gone ahead. May His Name be praised, happy new year in advance. In this new year you will see God in action more than ever before and I see God doing His wonders in our lives.

I am grateful for all that you have done for me in 2022.
PRAYER FOCUS
Father, I thank you for bringing me to the end of 2022. I am grateful for the new year.
