TOPIC: Ruth.
MEMORY VERSE: 3 John 1:4
[4]I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
FOCUS: Ruth 4:5
[5]Then said Boaz, What day thou buyest the field of the hand of Naomi, thou must buy it also of Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of the dead, to raise the name of the dead upon his inheritance.
Ruth was a Moabite woman who lived during the times of the Israelites, she was married to Naomi’s son, but after the death of Naomi’s son, Ruth chose to accompany Naomi back to Isreal, adopting her people and God as her own.
Ruth was the epitome of Faith, loyalty and redemption, she made the right choice that later paid her off, and she became a celebrity because of her loyalty to Naomi and God.
These are some of the characteristics that made Ruth fruitful in destiny:
- Faith and Trust
- Loyalty and Commitment
- Humility and hard work
- Courage and Resistance
- Obedience and Surrender
- God’s sovereignty over human will.
- Redemption: Ruth’s marriage to Boaz illustrates God’s redemptive plan.
If we desire to be fruitful in destiny then we should emulate these attributes.
LESSON: Ruth 4:13
[13]So Boaz took Ruth, and she was his wife: and when he went in unto her, the LORD gave her conception, and she bore a son.
Ruth was not just fruitful, she became a grandmother in the lineage of Jesus Christ.
Fruitfulness usually exceeds an individual, it transcends into generations and that is why we must be mindful of our decisions and choices because they don’t just affect us but they also affect our lineage.
These are some of the lessons we can pick from Ruth:
- God’s plans are bigger than our circumstances
- Loyalty and commitment leads to Fruitfulness
- Faith and trust overcomes uncertainty
- Humility and hard work bring rewards
- God’s sovereignty guides our lives positively.
Fruitfulness begins with a desire and then graduates into a decision that will eventually determine everyone’s final destination.
May we make the right choices like Ruth did in Jesus’ name. Amen
PERSONAL CONFESSION: I will always make the right choices.
PERSONAL PRAYER: Father, help me to always trust you no matter how bad the circumstances are in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Ruth was the epitome of God’s sovereignty over human circumstances.
NOTE: Ruth’s courage and faithfulness inspire us to trust God’s sovereignty.
