TOPIC: Dry Roots.

MEMORY VERSE: Psalms 102:11
[11]My days are like a shadow that declineth, and I am withered like grass.

FOCUS: Joel 1:17
[17]The seed is rotten under their clods, the garners are laid desolate, the barns are broken down; for the corn is withered.

Spiritually dry roots symbolize the following:

1. Disconnection from one’s source which is God.
2. Lack of spiritual nourishment or growth
3. Emotional or spiritual blockages
4. Neglect of one’s inner self or intuition
5. Feeling ungrounded or unstable
6. Lack of joy and peace constantly.
   All of these will make a life unsettled and they will not be able to bear fruits.

LESSON: Hosea 9:16
[16]Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb.

Dry roots can be treated and I will attempt to proffer treatment for dry roots because dry roots can’t bear fruits.

1. Meditation and prayer. This makes you reconnect with your source and inner self.
2. Self Reflection and Journaling. Identify and address emotional or spiritual blockages.
3. Engage in healing practices that promote healing.
4. Practice self-care and self-love.
5. Seek guidance, and consult spiritual leaders, therapists or coaches for support.
6. Let go of negativity: release emotional baggage and focus on positivity.
7. Cultivate gratitude
8. Connect with others, and make friends with the right people.
9. Practice mindfulness.
10. Connect with God’s word as your source of strength.
    With this, I believe that dry roots can become fruitful.

PERSONAL CONFESSION: My roots are olive.

PERSONAL PRAYER: Today, I ask for mercy and grace that transcend from one generation to another to visit my roots and make them fruitful in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Dry roots can not nourish the soul just like dry words can never nourish the hearts.

NOTE: When the roots are dry, the leaves will wither.
