TOPIC: PAUL THE APOSTLE (PASSION)

TEXT : Romans 1: 1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God

Memory Verse : Titus 1:1 Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness

FOCUS
This morning we are looking at Paul the Apostle. This man was separated from his mother’s womb for the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, he had a vision and the vision was clear. He knew what he was called to do, he wasn’t guessing, he knew he has been called and shaped for the gospel, he was a man that was rugged, he was a man that said; woe unto me if I don’t preach the gospel.

The gospel of Jesus Christ, he took it from coast to coast, he knew there’s a grace he must not waste he recognized the grace and knew that it wasn’t an ordinary grace. He told us that this grace was not bestowed upon him in vain but bestowed upon him so that he could preach the gospel, he could live a life different from every other person. He was a man of purpose, a man of God, be had direction and knew what it means to be a servant of God. He wasn’t playing or joking with time, he was precised and direct, he knew if he doesn’t preach the gospel, woe unto him.

He also said something that always catch my attention that; this grace was not bestowed upon me in vain, I am a servant of the most high. Paul a visioner, a man that was passionate about the kingdom of God, he was determined to stand out and ensure the gospel is preached to every living soul.

LESSON
Galatians 1:1 Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;

Paul the apostle was a visioner , a man chosen by God not by the will of man. If men were to choose, they wouldn’t choose him, because it was this same Paul that was persecuting and killing the Christians. Paul’s secret was passion; we have seen him on the other side and how he fought for a cause he didn’t know. But when he got converted and became a Christian, he also fought for the gospel, he did everything he could. He got to a point that he said, Christ in me, the hope of glory. He considered every other thing to be nonsense except Christ.

Passion drives people to God. Paul spread the teachings of Christ all through, he never relent his effort, he was one of the most important person after Jesus Christ in the history of Christianity. He had enormous influence on christians especially in relationship between God the father and Jesus Christ. He was a man that was given to vision, who encountered Christ in a unique way. He suffered somuch for the gospel, yet he never gave up.

Paul was a supremely natural gifted leader, sensitive to the needs of others. He demonstrated authenticity, he was a man of grace, of revelation, of compassion, he brought glory to the kingdom through his passion. I want you to know that until you are passionate for God, you cannot influence the kingdom of Christ. Stay blessed.
