TOPIC: MOSES (ENCOUNTER)
TEXT : Exodus 3:9 Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them. 3:10 Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt. 3:11 And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?
Memory Verse: Hebrews 11:24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter
FOCUS
This morning we are looking at Moses; a visioneer, someone that scale through all the hurdles. How did he scale through, it was through encounters. Moses never stopped having encounters, he kept having them. Anytime he is at a cross road, then God will show up for him. God does not want us to live a life void of encounters. Moses was keeping the flock of his father inlaw and then suddenly, his encounter began. He saw a burning bush, he turned aside and behold the fire was in the bush but the bush was not burning. That caught his attention, he turned and was wondering what manner of fire is this. That was his first encounter.
Moses was a man that encountered God. Even when he died, his body still encountered God. It is my prayer that we will encounter God today and always. Moses never saw himself qualified, he didn’t rush at the vision unlike many young people of today, that are eager to go. He was doubting his personality. Moses was a child that during his time they were killing make children but he was soared because the mother knew he was a goodly son.
There was more to Moses. He was born to be a deliverer, God’s spoke man, to lead the Israelites out of Egypt, so he needed the side of God that nobody has ever seen before. He needed the encounters for God to use him mightily, so that the whole world will know that God has sent him. You want to do extra ordinary things for God? Then you need encounters. Go for encounters and you will never remain the same. He was a stammerer but God used him mightily that even the king testified that, he was sent by God. It is my prayer that we will encounter God.
LESSON
Exodus 17:14 And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven. 17:15 And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi
Moses was a visioner, a man that was set apart from his mother’s womb to bring out the Israelites from bondage. God had an account of Moses that he was the meekest man in the whole world. But it wasn’t his meekness that brought him to lime light but his encounters.
Life without encounters equals entanglement. Do you want to be free of life entanglement, then go for encounter. Let your heart seek the Lord, make sure you pant after God, love God. Those who don’t love God, God does not encounter them. You could see the series of encounters Moses kept having. God never left him alone; when God gives you a vision, some visions requires encounter. When you encounter God, you will know, that there’s a God in Israel, that He is a protocol breaker. Even when Moses did wrong, God still judged his enemy .
Encounter give you edge over every power, every error. When you encounter God, you have encounter the supernatural. God does not leave a man in dilemma or in doubt of maybe or maybe not. God does his things with tangibility. I want you to know that encounter is available if only you will seek God. If you will seek Him, you will encounter Him. Don’t forget, every vision needs an encounter at one point or the other. Ask for an encounter today !
