TOPIC: Giving triggers Prosperity.

MEMORY VERSE: Luke 6:38
[38]Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

FOCUS: Genesis 8:22
[22]While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

Giving is a powerful act that can have a profound impact on our prosperity.
As long as the earth remains, giving will never stop, but there is right giving and wrong giving so we must understand what giving is.
Giving refers to:

1. Sharing resources (time, money and talent)
2. Showing kindness and generosity
3. Providing support and assistance.
4. Donating to charitable causes
5. Volunteering time and energy.

We also have different types of giving that can enhance our prosperity.
If giving is a trigger of prosperity then we must be intentional about our giving. A man’s giving can make or mar him and according to the scriptures, giving can eradicate poverty.

LESSON: Proverbs 12:11
[11]He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding.

Work refines and while giving redefines work, many work is not working because they are only working for themselves. The Bible says a Liberal soul shall be made fat, that is you must give your energy, time and resources to your ground so that it can yield bountifully.

Many people play at work and expect it to work, they don’t put in any tangible input. Even Jesus condemned loitering around the streets.
For giving to be productive, it must be intentional and that is why you need a source of income that will help you to distribute without grudges.

Let’s consider some strategies in giving that will bring about blessings in return.

1. Identify your values and passions
2. Set clear giving goals and priorities
3. Research and support worthy causes
4. Volunteer time and energy
5. Practice gratitude and appreciation
6. Give consistently and generously
7. Seek opportunities for collaborative giving like August seed for August blessings, where we reach unto the prisoners, widows, Orphans, missionaries, prophets, and hospitals and pay school fees for those who can’t afford theirs.

Until these strategies are intentionally practiced, prosperity may not be the outcome of the giving.

Blessings await a joyful giver, it is time to add giving to work and work to kingdom service and kingdom service to the Love of God.

PERSONAL PRAYER: Father, I receive the Grace to be a giver, I refuse to hold on to what should be shared in Jesus’ mighty Name. Amen
