TOPIC: Godliness as a pillar of Fruitfulness

MEMORY VERSE:1 Timothy 2:2
[2]For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

FOCUS: 1 Timothy 3:16
[16]And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Godliness refers to a deep reverence and devotion to God, and it’s characterized by the following;

1. Holiness
2. Faithfulness
3. Humility
4. Wisdom
5. Love

Fruitfulness refers to the visible manifestation of God’s presence and work in one’s life which results in;

1. Spiritual growth
2. Character transformation
3. Effective service
4. Productive living
5. External Impact

LESSON: 2 Peter 3:11
[11]Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness.

Let’s look at how Godliness promotes fruitfulness:

1. It helps you to stay rooted in Christ
2. Holy Living produces fruits that abide forever.
3. It helps one to become a faithful steward.
4. It improves spiritual discipline
5. It gives divine guidance
6. Godliness empowers which promotes fruitfulness
7. Protection.

By cultivating Godliness we create an environment conducive to fruitfulness, allowing God to win through us and produce lasting results.
With this, we can broadly agree that it takes Godliness to bear godly fruits

PERSONAL PRAYER: Father, I receive grace to be godly and to be fruitful in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: The Godly are not always exempted from troubles, but they are preserved in troubles.

NOTE: Godliness is not just about what we do but it is also about who we are becoming.
