HEAVEN’S DAILY BREAD WITH BOLATITO PRAISE

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17TH, 2024.

TOPIC: Steadfastness as a pillar of Fruitfulness.

MEMORY VERSE: 2 Peter 1:5
[5]And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

FOCUS: Psalms 1:3
[3]And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

To be steadfast is to be fixed and solid, stable and not shifting. It means you are not distracted in any way, you are not just defensive and holding fast against the tides, but also actively abounding in God’s agenda, advancing on the offensive. You must continue in steadfast prayers, and be watchful and sensitive.
It also means to be loyal in belief and determination and to be loyal and faithful in practicing it.

No one can bear fruits except he is firmly rooted. It is only planted trees that bear fruits, those who shift their grounds are always barren.

LESSON: 1 Corinthians 15:58
[58]Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

To remain steadfast and unmovable we have to know the word of God. 2 Timothy 2:15 says, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth” (NASB). To accurately handle the word of truth, we must not only read the Bible, but we must allow it to become part of us so that its truth would penetrate our minds and hearts and shape our thinking and our actions.
It should also fill our minds so that we can detect errors when we hear it.

Satan uses the scriptures for his purposes, twisting them to sound as though they say something it doesn’t say (Luke 4:9–11). If we have not been diligent in our study and meditation on the truth, we are vulnerable to error.
The false religions of the world can be persuasive when they quote Bible verses to support their error, even Christians can be duped by smooth-sounding hearsay if they do not have a solid grounding in the “whole counsel of God” (Acts 20:27). God desires that we grow daily in our understanding of Him and His Word so that we will remain faithful to the end (John 8:31; 2 Peter 1:2; 3:18; 1 John 2:24).

PERSONAL CONFESSION: I shall be steadfast.

PERSONAL PRAYER: Father, help me to be Steadfast in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: A Steadfast heart does not stray from its path.

NOTE: Steadfastness is the essence of miracles.
