TOPIC: Knowledge as one of the Pillars of Fruitfulness.

MEMORY VERSE: 2 Peter 1:2
[2]Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

FOCUS: 1 Corinthians 1:5
[5]That in everything ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and all knowledge.

Knowledge is the awareness, understanding or familiarity with facts and information.
Remember, knowledge without application is incomplete. Knowledge needs to be put into practice to experience true fruitfulness.
We can be fruitful in various areas and these include:

  1. Career
  2. Family
  3. Community Development
  4. Personal Development
  5. Relationship.
  6. Spiritual work/walk with God.

Apostle Paul encourages us that the one way we can be fruitful is to increase our knowledge in the above-listed aspects.

A wise man will only speak according to his knowledge and a fool will utter foolish things because he refused to know.
Knowledge is a MUST if fruitfulness is our desire.

LESSON: Ecclesiastes 12:9
[9]Moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yea, he gave good heed and sought out, and set in order many proverbs.

Knowledge can contribute to fruitfulness in various ways:

  1. Knowledge increases our productivity and purpose.
  2. Knowledge helps us to build a strong character and resilience to opposition.
  3. Knowledge deepens our understanding of God and makes us understand his plans.
  4. Knowledge helps us to build strong relationships that help us in developing our community
  5. Gratitude is a product of knowledge because a man who does not think will stink.
  6. Knowledge makes us resourceful and helps us prioritize our tasks and manage our time effectively.
  7. Conflict resolution is a product of knowledge and managing conflict constructively.
  8. Empathy and compassion is a product of knowledge.
  9. Effective communication is also a product of knowledge.
  10. Spiritual disciplines either in prayers studying God’s word or attending fellowship are all products of knowledge.

The reason for the chaos in life is a lack of knowledge. A preacher said that knowledge must be taught or sought because it helps in living a fruitful life.

PERSONAL CONFESSION: I will know what I am supposed to know at the right time.

PERSONAL PRAYER: Father, I receive the desire to search for the right knowledge in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Knowledge is of no value unless you put it into practice.

NOTE: The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing.
