HEAVEN’S DAILY BREAD WITH BOLATITO PRAISE

THURSDAY, AUGUST 22ND, 2024.

In this series, I will be writing about the men and women who commanded the Supernatural in the Bible. These Bible characters were ordinary people who lived an extraordinary life. From these series, I hope we will gain insights into commanding exploits for God from their life stories.

TOPIC: Joshua.

MEMORY VERSE: Joshua 1:16
[16]And they answered Joshua, saying, All that thou commandest us we will do, and whithersoever thou sendest us, we will go.

FOCUS: Joshua 2:24
[24]And they said unto Joshua, Truly the LORD hath delivered into our hands all the land; for even all the inhabitants of the country do faint because of us.

While serving Moses, Joshua was an attentive student learning so much from the great leader. Joshua showed tremendous courage despite the huge responsibility assigned to him, he was a brilliant military commander and he prospered because he trusted God with every aspect of his life.

Joshua was known for his exceptional courage that made him command so much supernatural.
Miracles are real but they can only happen when someone is courageous enough to command them. Many people would have done exploits if only they were courageous enough to ask for it.

If believers can be courageous, I believe we will command signs and wonders daily.
This is exactly what Joshua did, and even now, God still does wonders in the lives of people and makes them signs to the heathen.

LESSON: Joshua 10:12
[12]Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.

Joshua in the Bible began life in Egypt as a slave under the cruel Egyptian taskmaster, but he rose to become one of the greatest leaders of Isreal through faithful obedience to God. As successor to Moses, Joshua led the people of Israel into the promised land of Canaan.

After the death of Moses, Joshua became the leader of Israel, successfully directing the Israelite army in its conquest of the promised land.
Joshua followed God’s strange instructions for the battle of Jericho. For six days, the army marched around the city and on the seventh day, they marched seven times, shouted, and the walls fell flat.
The Israelites swarmed in, killing every living thing except Rahab and her family and because Joshua was obedient, God performed another miracle in the sky for an entire day so the Israelites could wipe out their enemies completely.

Joshua commanding the sun to stand still was quite outstanding because no one had ever done that and he was the first man to command the sun and that is why we have the leap year today.

His courage was outstanding and that laid a foundation for the supernatural in our day-to-day lives that if we can dare it then we can have it.

A daring faith is a winning faith and without courage, no one can act on strange instructions.
Living by courage is living in the supernatural and no one can make a mark without making out time to be courageous.

Joshua’s generation is a generation of men and women who dare to do exploits for God.

PERSONAL CONFESSION: I am courageous that is why I break protocols to the Glory of God.

PERSONAL PRAYER: Father, I receive the spirit of courage that will help me to walk in the miraculous daily in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Courage is a must if the supernatural is a desire.

NOTE: Until you are courageous, you can never be outstanding.
