MEMORY VERSE: 2 Kings 20:2
[2]Then he turned his face to the wall and prayed unto the LORD, saying,
FOCUS: Matthew 17:21
[21]Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
An understanding of the person and ministry of the Holy Spirit makes prayer and fasting an effective tool in the hands of any believer who desires to live in the supernatural. Divine invitation attracts divine intervention, which will, in turn, provoke divine acceleration.
The future you will have is largely dependent on what you speak to God about in your prayers.
Prayer is more than talking to God, prayer is about communicating your deep desires to God, but this act needs consistency.
Words shape our lives and therefore, the words from our mouths shape the experiences of our lives. Oftentimes, you will see what you say in prayers manifesting either in the natural or supernatural.
The kingdom of God responds faster to words, so in prayers, we must be deliberate and intentional.
Prayer that is backed up with fasting is usually effective because that is where you can issue decrees and declarations in favour of the supernatural.
Prayer and fasting are triggers for the supernatural and consistent prayers get God’s intervention that brings about the supernatural.
LESSON: 2 Kings 6:17
[17]And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.
Prayer is one of the tools that enables you to access the supernatural, when you pray, you open a line of communication with God and connect directly with Him. Prayer makes the impossible possible and there are certain levels in the spiritual realm you will never get to if you don’t pray.
Prayer is an act that seeks to activate a rapport with an object of worship through deliberate communication. God has established prayer as how we receive his supernatural help and without supernatural help, we cannot live a worthy life.
Prayer must be central in our lives.
Everyone who desires the supernatural must be in consistent prayers with the Father, prayer is primarily fellowship with the Father and his son, Jesus Christ.
It must never be treated with levity or slothfulness.
When Elisha was confronted, he simply turned to God and invoked the supernatural in his favour.
There are so many things we stand to enjoy especially when we are constantly in fellowship with the Father, it makes the supernatural become a normal lifestyle.
PERSONAL CONFESSION: I will always pray because I know that God hears me always.
PERSONAL PRAYER: Father, baptise me with the spirit of prayer and supplication in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Prayer is reaching out after the unseen.
NOTE: The greatest tragedy of life is not unanswered prayers but “unoffered” prayers.
