CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION AT GOSHEN

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Today we celebrate Children’s Day, a day set aside to honor and appreciate the little ones in our lives. As we reflect on this special occasion, let us remember that children are beautifully crafted for God’s kingdom.

In the Gospel of Mark, we read how Jesus welcomed children into his arms and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these” (Mark 10:14). Jesus recognized the importance of children and their place in the kingdom of God.

In Psalm 127:3-5, we read, “Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court.” Children are a gift from God, and we are called to nurture them and raise them up to be strong and faithful warriors for Christ.

As parents, grandparents, teachers, and mentors, we have a responsibility to guide and teach our children in the ways of the Lord. In Deuteronomy 6:6-7, we read, “These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” We are called to instill godly values and principles in our children, so that they may grow up to be fruitful and faithful servants of God.

In Proverbs 22:6, we read, “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” This verse reminds us of the importance of laying a strong foundation of faith in our children from a young age. When we model a life of faith and teach our children to love and serve God, we are giving them a legacy that will last for generations to come.

So let us celebrate Children’s Day with joy and gratitude, recognizing the important role that children play in God’s kingdom. Let us commit ourselves to raising up a generation of faithful and devoted followers of Christ, who will carry the light of the gospel into the world.

May God bless our children and guide them on their journey of faith.

Children are a precious gift from God, and they have a special place in His heart. From the moment of conception, God has a plan and purpose for each child’s life. The Bible tells us that before we were born, God knew us and set us apart for His purposes (Jeremiah 1:5). As parents, teachers, and members of the church, it is our responsibility to nurture and guide these young ones in the ways of the Lord.

As we look at the world around us, we see that children are often neglected, abused, and exploited. They are exposed to violence, poverty, and all kinds of injustice. But we know that God has a different plan for them. He wants to protect them, bless them, and use them for His glory. He wants to make them agents of change in a world that desperately needs hope and healing.

So, what can we do to help these little ones fulfill their God-given potential? First and foremost, we can pray for them. We can pray that God would protect them, provide for them, and give them a vision for their lives. We can pray that they would come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior and grow in their faith. We can also support organizations and initiatives that are working to improve the lives of children around the world.

Secondly, we can invest in their education and training. We can teach them the Word of God and help them develop their skills and talents. We can encourage them to pursue their dreams and aspirations and equip them to be leaders in their communities. We can also model for them what it means to follow Jesus and live a life of integrity, compassion, and service.

Finally, we can advocate for their rights and well-being. We can speak out against the injustices that they face and work to create a better world for them. We can use our voices and resources to promote policies and programs that support children’s development and protection.

In conclusion, as we celebrate Children’s Day, let us remember that these little ones are beautifully crafted by God for His kingdom. Let us commit ourselves to pray for them, invest in their education and training, and advocate for their rights and well-being. May God bless our efforts and use these precious children to bring about His purposes in the world. Amen.
