TOPIC: PRAYER / PRAISE ACTIVATES FAITH
TEXT : 1 Thessalonians 5:17 – 18 Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Memory Verse: Genesis 24:26 And the man bowed down his head, and worshipped the LORD.
FOCUS
Today, we are looking at prayer and praise as faith activators. I decided to combine them because the two actually works together. For example, the Bible says; enter into His gate with thanksgiving. So, when you are coming to pray, you must come along with thanksgiving.
The more you pray, the more your faith is activated, the more you praise, the more your faith is activated. The two cannot be separated. While you are praying, you are thanking God and while you are thanking God, you are also praying so that your faith do not suffer shipwreck. If you don’t want your faith to suffer shipwreck, you must learn to Praise and give thanks.
If you feel like, you don’t want to praise God, you only want to praise, then you have fortfeit your prayers because God does not listen to murmuring and complaining. When you garnish your prayer with plenty praise, God listens to you and you will be able to present your case but if you refuse to thank Him, you have forfeit your prayer.
Praise and prayer activates your faith. Faith cometh by hearing and hearing the word of God. So, when you have heard and you have a little faith, let that faith drive you to s place of prayer. Alot of times we pray but we don’t garnish our prayers with enough faith. A man of God said, a praise or prayer that doesn’t move you, cannot move God.
LESSON
Psalms 100:3 – 4
Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
What do you do in thanksgiving? You just praise Him, adore Him for how good He has been to you before you start praying, it activates your faith. An adage says, the more you thank God, the more God will bless you. But if you don’t thank Him for the blessings you can see, how will He do more for you.
Many people don’t know that thanksgiving alone is a faith activator; when you keep thanking God, faith will well up in your heart. This faith is the faith that gives you hope, that settles your worries, makes you to keep striving for the best. But when you don’t praise, your prayer becomes a burden, you pray with bitterness, you feel God has not done you well. But when you are always filled with thanksgiving, your prayer points will be less. When you thank God and you go into prayer, you faith jacks up.
We are going into the new month, don’t cease to pray, don’t cease to give thanks, don’t limit your thanksgiving to yourself alone. When you are praying also, pray for other people, it’s a way of activating your faith and once your faith is activated, your life takes the right direction. Stay Blessed!

Faith has proofs, but Prayer and Praise must accompany your faith before it can produce a good report.
