TOPIC: FAITH AND GRACE
TEXT : Romans 4:16
Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all

By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
FOCUS
Today, we are looking at another faith activator and it is grace. Faith works by grace. What is grace? Grace is receiving a divine enablement that helps you to do that which you can’t do ordinarily. When you begin to do what ordinarily you can’t do then you have received grace.
Grace accomplishes task. Grace enables us to do the impossible. When you see grace then you have seen a man that God has helped. Faith worketh by grace and without grace, faith will be impotent.
LESSON
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God
Grace is an unmerited gift of divine favour. Not only for salvation but also to make life gracious and beautiful, it gives honour and credit, it makes life smooth, elegant, free of pollutions. When you are a man or woman of faith and you lack grace, your faith will move mountains but grace will not be there to spice it up.
If honour does not accompany faith then faith is of no use. In chapter 18 of Genesis, God promised Sarah, in chapter 21, God was already fulfilling it. God did what He promised because He is faithful to His word. The distance between where you are and where you want to be, is grace. That’s why Genesis 21 says that; and the Lord visited Sarah as He has spoken, Sarah conceived and bear Abraham a son in his old age at the set time which God has appointed for him. I call it grace.
There are many people in the Bible that God spoke to that didn’t leave to the fulfilment of their prophecy. Between chapter 18 and 21 of Genesis, Sarah was visited. That is unmerited grace; despite the fact that she was old, God visited her. May God visit you today in Jesus Name (Amen)
