TOPIC: ASSOCIATION
TEXT : Psalms 55:14
We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in company.

He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.
FOCUS
Today we are looking at association as another faith booster. A wise man said; don’t allow your friends choose you, you choose your friends. If your friends choose you, you may not be able to dictate to them their faith but when you get to a Christian gathering, you will be able to choose rightly. Don’t allow anyone force you into any friendship this year. This year is very crucial, it’s a year of manifestation of His glory and for you to manifest glory, you need faith.
If faith is connected to hearing the word of God then you must know that your association can mare or make you. When you don’t choose rightly, you are not going to be active in church service because it will be when you want to go the church that your friend wants to come and greet you. You have to choose rightly this year; if you don’t choose wisely, the consequences of your decision will not be nice.
Don’t let anyone force you into any relationship, don’t make friends with doubters, those who see nothing in your effort, who will talk you out of your godly relationship, who doesn’t see the good in other people. Someone said ” some people find faults in others as if they are going to be paid” that is the ministry of wrong association. Don’t choose friends with those who talk about other people, who don’t see anything good about those you hold in high esteem.
Don’t make friends with those who don’t believe in your Jesus, those who talk down on Christian values that you hold in high esteem, don’t make friends with them. Say no to them so that you can exercise your faith in a high proportion.
LESSON
Philemon 1:7 For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.
A wise man said, your association determines how far you go in life. If association is this crucial, then you have to carefully select your friends. If you have a friend that anytime he/she talks to you, you are sad, they leave you worst than they meet you, then check it. Your friends should be like Apphia and Archippus whom Paul thanked God for because they were addition to his life.
There are people you meet and they take your life forward and there are people also that the little grace you have, they want to suffocate it. A man of God said, there are three things that determines your destiny; the books you read, the association you keep. Don’t choose people who don’t have value for God, that will talk you out of your christian values. He that walketh with the wise shall be wise and a companion of fools shall be destroyed. What makes someone a fool? It is when you don’t understand that life is personal.
This new year, choose friends that are wise, people that will boost your faith, that will speak positively to your faith life, that will stretch you positively and make you believe God more, friends that won’t be jealous of your testimony, choose friends that will encourage you and keep telling you there’s room for you. Don’t forget that association can build or mare your faith. May we receive wisdom to choose wisely. Amen

Don’t let your friends choose you, you choose your friends.
Don’t walk with doubters this year but rather walk with Faith filled people. Faith is contagious, choose your association wisely.
