TOPIC : IGNORANCE
TEXT : Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
FOCUS
Today, we are looking at Ignorance as another enemy of gratitude. Someone said; ignorance is knowledge that you consciously neglect. Another person said, ignorance is what you don’t know you are supposed to go after. But which ever one, the Bible gave us a clear meaning of ignorance in our opening scripture.
The reason some people are still on the ground is because of ignorance. They don’t know the power and mystery behind gratitude. They don’t know that gratitude is designed for their altitude, they don’t know that those who thank God are the only people that their thank are always full of blessings. When you thank God for His finger, you have registered for His hand and when you thank God for His hand, you will see His fullness.
Those who ignore the benefit of God are the ones that suffer the calamity of this world. Don’t forget that God is ever mindful of us and there’s one thing God cannot do for Himself; God cannot thank Himself. So, whether you have or not, it is time we go back to God and say; Lord thank you. When last did you thank God for the oxygen, for the joy of seeing another day, when last did you thank God for your friends and family; these are things that money cannot buy and God wants you to be conscious and grateful for them.
Life is not all about material things, man is designed to fellowship with His maker by worshipping Him. A song writer says; I will never be ungrateful to God. When you sing such songs, it’s a sign that you are not ignorant of the magnitude of what God has done.
Many people ignore the blessings of God, no wonder they are ignored on earth. They ignore God’s mercy, so they never enjoy another one. This morning I want you to go to God and say; Lord, I can never be ungrateful, thank you for all that you have done.
LESSON
1 Peter 2:15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men
Ignorance must be fought with right knowledge. Everyone that is ignorant of something, lives in a world of foolishness. Ignorance makes you live in a world of foolishness and that is why what you don’t know, you don’t know. The only way to fight ignorance is to go for right knowledge. Somebody maybe versatile in one particular aspect of life and ignorant in another aspect.
The ignorance we ate talking about today, is the one that has to deal with gratitude. Foolishness and ignorance are always together. When you see a foolish man, He will always dwell in ignorance. When you see someone who talks and his talk doesn’t have substance, then you have seen an ignorant person. But when people speak from the dept of what they don’t know, then you have respect, you know that this person.
I want you to know that the only way you can defeat ignorance is by going for the right knowledge. Jesus is the reason for the season, so share and expand your love for God through somebody. Let somebody see Christ in you, let them feel you are your father. Don’t ignore people because God wants us to do His things.
Ignorance takes people from their blessing. God is mindful of us; it’s time for us to operate in Wisdom. Don’t ignore the blessings of God because you can’t buy them in the market. Keep thanking God, let Him know you are not ungrateful. Every ungrateful person will always end up in swallow of Life.

Father help me to go for right knowledge that will help me to thank you more.
PRAYER FOCUS
Father, I receive divine wisdom that conquer Ignorance in Jesus Mighty Name.
