TOPIC: GRATITUDE CLEANSES
TEXT : Luke 17:16-19
“And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.”
FOCUS
In this series we shall be looking at Benefits of Thanksgiving. Gratitude is the gate way to divine altitude, until its well done, believers may not receive the benefits that comes from it.Your level of gratitude determines the level of your acceleration. If you want to go higher then you have to be grateful for everything that God is doing, He has done and is yet to do. The eyes of gratitude is the eye that sees to the future and appreciate God for every little thing. No wonder the Bible says; count your blessings and name them one by one. There are things you can’t buy with money, there are things only God can give to you. From our opening scripture, Christ just did a miracle, ten were cleansed and only one could turn back to glorify God. Even though his healing as at that time has not yet been perfected but he already saw the hand of God. It is faith that makes you gives thanks to God. When you have faith in the God of yesterday, then your today is settled.
When you have faith that God who delivered you from the bear will also deliver you from the lion, then it is settled. When you have faith that the God who was there for you in the night will be there for you in the morning then your faith is upgraded.
When you have faith that God who kept you in your teenage years will keep you in your youthful days then your case is settled. The God who kept you in your mother’s womb, will not abandon you when you are old. This morning I want you to return and give Him praise. Celebrate Him so that He can take us to the next level. There’s a higher ground but only gratitude will take us there. Father thank you for all you’ve done, for all you will do, may your name be Praised.

Galatians 5:9 “A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.”
Today, we are looking at gratitude cleanses, it perfects you. How does it cleanse? When you thank God, you are made whole, gratitude perfects what God has started. God who kept us when we are young, has the ability to keep us as we are getting old. No wonder the Bible says; since I was young I have never seen the righteous forsaken nor His seed begging bread.
Anytime God wants to do His work, He brings men to thank him for what they can see and yet to see. The more they thank Him, the more they are cleansed from filthiness, sicknesses, diseases.If only you will thank God, you will see the hand of God.
Thanksgiving is like a yeast, no matter how little thanksgiving is, it has the power to make you rise again. That scripture likened thanksgiving to a little laven, a little yeast that when it is added to flour, it makes it to rise. Thanksgivers don’t lack, they don’t suffer. When you can see what He is doing, then He will do more than you can see. God is in the business of raising people, don’t let the devil deceive you God is worthy of our praise. Father we say thank you for all you have done, all you will do and all that you are doing.
