TOPIC: Grace is Poured
MEMORY VERSE: John 1:16
[16]And of his fullness have all we received, and grace for grace.
FOCUS: Psalms 45:2
[2]Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee forever.
The above scripture painted a picture of the Messiah in His grace, his beauty and His moral purity. Grace is first of all manifested in the lips, poured upon thy lips.
When a man carries grace in his lips, he will speak only the right words. This is shown in the life of Jesus Christ, no one could fault his words, he was a carrier of good news, and He was gracious and gentle in his words towards others.
Many people are harsh in their utterances because they lack grace on their lips. Beauty and eloquence when brought together make a man majestic.
The grace of a person and the grace of speech make a person reach their highest point in life.
We need this type of grace to secure our territory and advance in God’s kingdom.
LESSON: Song of Solomon 1:3
[3]Because of the savour of thy good ointments thy name is as ointment poured forth, therefore do the virgins love thee.
Grace is not static because it can be reflected in different ways, one of the ways grace can be seen is through words, many people have jeopardized their destiny because they are careless talkers, a man who speaks with grace is a man who will be loved by many, because of the savour of thy good ointments thy name is as ointment poured forth.
When you speak well, you will attract positive people and positive people will bring positive results.
Everyone wants to be addressed properly and not approached arrogantly, how do you know an arrogant person? It is known in his speech. Speaking well is living well.
Grace is not just power but a spiritual endowment that makes you speak well to people. The way a man speaks reveals a lot about his personality and character.
Grace is available, no matter how bad a man speaks he can be engraced to speak well.
Many people lack manners in speech and that is why even God has refused to attend to their prayers like he did the rich fool.
Grace is the cure for pride and arrogance.
It’s time to be engraced to speak well.
PERSONAL CONFESSION: O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your grace.
PERSONAL PRAYER: Father, I receive grace to speak only the right words at all times in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Complaining is far from my lips, my feet move with gratitude, and my hands are lifted in Thanksgiving. All around me, I see the overwhelming grace of God.
NOTE: I will hold myself to a standard of grace, not perfection.
