[10]For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Wrong motives refer to underlying reasons or intentions driving actions, decisions or behaviors that conflict with moral principles, ethical values or personal well-being.
In as much as we have wrong motives then our perception will never be right as regards prosperity and its distributions
These are some of the effects of having the wrong motives on prosperity.
- Spiritual decline
- Emotional Turmoil
- Damaged Relationships
- Poor decision making
- Lack of fulfillment
- Health Consequences
- Financial instability
- Loss of purpose
For as long as you love money, your motives will never be correct. Wrong motives will always pierce with many sorrows and leave people in abject poverty.
LESSON: Philippians 4:6
[6]Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God.
Having wrong motives towards prosperity can be overcome by the following strategies:
- Self -reflection
- Prayer and meditation
- Accountability
- Be careful for nothing
- Live a life of contentment
- Be grateful for where you are.
Wrong motives are products of wrong thoughts which can be flushed out by prayer and supplication. A life of contentment is a life of worship and faith.
Prosperity starts from thinking the right thoughts that will always produce the right fruits.
