TOPIC: Fruitfulness is Success.

MEMORY VERSE: 1 Chronicles 11:9
[9]So David waxed greater and greater: for the LORD of hosts was with him.

FOCUS: Joshua 1:8
[8]This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have success.

A fruitful and generous life has nothing to do with how much money you make how known you are or how prestigious your career is.
Success is a mindset and it comes at different times and has different meanings, success to one person may not be success to another person.

In the context of the bible, success is bearing fruits irrespective of your level, success is doing what you want to do in the way you want to do it and this has nothing to do with money or status.
A roadside mechanic might feel more successful than a banker and that’s because success is a mindset.

While success comes from strength, control and respectability, fruitfulness is more of positioning and development of one’s ability which has to do with maturity and creditability.
Success brings rewards and fame while fruitfulness comes as a product of intimacy, true joy comes from fruitfulness and not achievements.

There is a need to understand this today before we focus on our subject matter.
Biblically, true success is reading the word, meditating on the word and declaring the word, this will always form the basis for fruitfulness that is enduring and stable.
Fruitfulness and not success is the only proof that we have a relationship with the Father, but success can be engraved into fruitfulness.

LESSON: Esther 9:4
[4]For Mordecai was great in the king’s house, and his fame went out throughout all the provinces: for this man Mordecai waxed greater and greater.

God wants his children to be fruitful and I believe that as Christians we must strive to be successful and fruitful.
Life is not to be lived for ourselves, Jesus called us to bear fruits.

Mordecai started his journey/career as being loyal to the king which was man-centred but God elevated him through his loyalty to a man and made him to be fruitful like a king.
Once our desires are not selfish, I think we can move our success to God and become productive in God’s kingdom.

Fruitfulness begins with God, success begins with man and ends with fame.
Mordecai lived for God and humanity, he lived a selfless life that affected Esther and the entire Jews.
It’s time to lock our success in God and make our life a fruitful adventure for others to emulate.

PERSONAL CONFESSION: I am not a seasonal successor, I bear my fruits at all times.

PERSONAL PRAYER: Father, deliver me from inconsistencies that hinder fruitfulness in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Start where you are, use what you have and do what you can.

NOTE: Success is not the absence of failure, it is persistence through failure.
