TOPIC: Worship.
MEMORY VERSE: Revelation 19:10
[10]And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow-servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
FOCUS: Philippians 3:3
[3]For we are the circumcision, which worships God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
God seeks people to worship him from their recreated or born-again spirit based on revelation knowledge of the person of Christ and His finished work because Christ is the visible image of God.
King Solomon was a supernatural worshipper and even as a King, he took part in congregational worship but he didn’t stop at that; he went ahead and offered a thousand burnt offerings unto the Lord.
It was this higher dimension of worship that he caught insightfulness on what he needed to offer to God in addition to the sacrifice of the fruits of his lips.
In worship, you are expected to remind God of His kindness towards you and his mercies that you have enjoyed in the time past. This act will provoke the supernatural to become a reality because worship opens the heaven, especially when it’s done in the act of revelation.
Solomon understood that he was who he is as a result of his father’s legacy which stemmed from his indefatigable and seasoned worship of God, he also understood that he had inherited a legacy of victories from his father.
All these put together helped Solomon to go the extra mile in worshipping God, and his worship made him experience the supernatural at all costs.
The New Testament church is not a place where we gather with the mental preoccupation of always wanting to get something from God.
This describes perfectly the scripture in our focus today.
It is in this intense worship that miracles happen, an atmosphere of intense true spiritual worship that God takes care of whatever seems to pose a threat to the lives of the worshipper.
LESSON: John 4:23-24
[23]But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
[24]God is a Spirit: and they who worship him must worship him in spirit and truth.
God is more interested in us having his revelational knowledge than to just worshiping him in in ignorance.
The worship of God is exclusively reserved for Christians and by Christians I mean those with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
However, if Christians don’t walk with revelation and knowledge of the person of Christ and His finished work then that person can’t be a true worshipper but rather a carnal worshiper.
In true worship, you must allow the operation of the Holy Spirit to guide and direct you before it can trigger the supernatural.
The God of the Supernatural dwells in pure worship that emanates from the heart and not the head.
No one can truly worship without the help of the Holy Spirit.
The supernatural responds faster to pure and undefiled worship.
It’s time to worship God.
PERSONAL CONFESSION: I am a bonafide worshipper of Christ and I worship him in spirit and truth.
PERSONAL PRAYER: Father, I will forever worship you not only for what you have done but for who you are in my life in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Worship is simply giving God his breath back.
NOTE: Worship is an act of war against the enemy of our hearts.
Today is my birthday, and I desire every reader of this devotional to please worship God on my behalf.
Happy Birthday, Apostle Bolatito Praise.
