TOPIC: YOU ARE A KINGDOM AMBASSADOR
TEXT: MARK 16:17 “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;”
MEMORY VERSE: DANIEL 4:2 “I thought it good to shew the signs and wonders that the high God hath wrought toward me.”
FOCUS
This morning, we are looking at another criterion to be a sign and a wonder and we are looking at being a Kingdom Ambassador.
From our text, the Bible says in MARK 16:17-18 [17]And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
[18]They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. To be a sign and a wonder, you have to belong to the Kingdom of God and in this Kingdom, there are inheritances. The Bible said that “..these signs shall follow them that believe..” so if you are not a believer, there is no way the signs can follow you. And the Bible also mentioned that “..it shall follow..” so you do not follow signs and you do not look for signs but signs automatically become your follower.
At new birth, there are things that are added to you freely, freely given, freely received, and freely distributed with no charges and no cost because there is no cost implication when it comes to signs and wonders. You will lay hands on the sick and the sick will recover, you will mount up wings like the eagle, you will run and not be weary, you will raise the dead, and heal the blind and all these are available only on the platform of Kingdom Ambassadors.
In this Kingdom, salvation is the visa you need. When you become born again and you are part of the Kingdom, you automatically begin to enjoy the dividends of the Kingdom which is being a sign and a wonder. Once this is done, you will be like a city set on the hill that can never be hidden.
LESSON
HEBREW 2:4 “God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?”
We are talking about being a Kingdom Ambassador and that every Kingdom Ambassador is followed by signs and wonders. But you must know that it is God that determines when signs and wonders happen. Signs and wonders are not something you can manipulate or force to happen but it is God do it at will and he does it as he wants it.
The Bible said in ACT 2:47b “..And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved” So even those that give their life to Christ, it is God that still determines it so matter how good a message is, it can not convert anyone. It is God that determines when the salvation of a soul is ripe and as the person moves close to the time of his/her salvation, that person will know because the heart will become softer, the fight against it, and the arguments will seize. The person’s heart will be ready and just like a physical farmer go to his farm and prepares his land for planting, that is how salvation is in the spiritual realm.
In the time of Jesus, not everyone was healed. There were still people that were sick and were never healed and this is why to date, no pastor, no healing evangelist, and no prophet can say everybody will be healed. There are people that hands will be laid on and prayers will be offered yet, they will not be healed. There are also people who according to God’s will, he will select them from the crowd and heal them. These are the doings of the Lord and this is only for Kingdom Ambassadors to understand and carry out. So if you are struggling with signs and wonders ask yourself “Am I a Kingdom Ambassador?” and then wait for God to perfect it.
One thing I know is that in June, the lines will fall upon us in pleasant places. We already have God’s heritage and this heritage will show forth in Jesus’s name.
