TOPIC: JESUS CHRIST

TEXT : Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Memory Verse: Ephesians 4:30 _And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

FOCUS
This morning we are looking at a great visioner who came to the world with a vision. Before his coming, there were prophecies, the earth knew that a saviour is coming, is the person of Jesus Christ. Jesus was a sent one; he didn’t come by the will of man but by the will of God. There was something about him that Isaiah had already prophecy that he is coming to save his people. So, he was born with a mandate, he was called. He didn’t develop passion for his people while growing up, he came with a mandate from heaven, his vision was clear which is, to save the world from sin.

I don’t know how God has arranged your life to be but I want you to know that God is a great visioner, when God is there, life will be there. Jesus came to save his people from sin. The angel told Mary, you will bring forth a son and he will save people from their sin. That is direction, specification. God does not want us to beat about the bush. The assignment of Jesus was too clear , his purpose was tangible. It is my prayer that God will make us understand our assignment in life so that we don’t beat about the bush. Many people have turned themselves to wanderers because they don’t understand why they are on earth. For Jesus, it was to save.

LESSON
Isaiah 11:2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; 11:3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears

We are looking at our Lord Jesus Christ as a great visioner and we are looking at how did he even fulfil his ministry. Every vision must be empowered, vision does not run on the platform if wishes but on the platform of insight and revelation. For Jesus Christ, there was something unique about him. Jesus came with a strange unction, God poured out his spirit upon him without measure so that he can accomplish his vision. Mandate was given but power was needed. Vision was given but he needed to be empowered by God. It wasn’t that he woke up and said let me go and save. God knew he was going to meet with a lot of people and that is why there was a need for empowerment from heaven.

This empowerment is to make him triumph over principalities and powers, to make him rule and establish righteousness in earth. Don’t forget that before then, sin was the order of the day, the language man was speaking before then was sin and Satan but there was something very unique about Jesus Christ, he came and he knew no sin.

He was empowered by the Holy Ghost, the Bible said he went about doing good the power to do evil was bot resident in him. He scaled through hurdles, he survived and make sure the mandate was properly delivered as it was given. Are you called, are you a visioner, then seek the power of God. The power of God in your life will make you scale through all hurdles of life.

PERSONAL CONFESSION
I receive power from God that will enable me to fulfil my vision here on earth .

PRAYER FOCUS
Father deliver me from the wickedness of this world in the Name of Jesus Christ.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Until you are empowered by God you may not be able to fulfil your assignment on earth.

The power of our Lord Jesus Christ is still available only for the meek.
