TOPIC: Grace is Perceived
MEMORY VERSE: Isaiah 64:4
[4]For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth.
FOCUS: Acts 11:23
[23]Who, when he came and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with the purpose of heart, they would cleave unto the Lord.
Perceiving the grace of God can be a personal and subjective experience.
Before anyone receives any type of grace, there is a need to first perceive it, once it’s perceived it can be received.
Grace draws us very close to God and makes our heart to be knitted to God without contradiction of intentions and purpose.
The ways of God are past finding out and there is no end to his knowledge.
- Grace can be perceived through the scriptures that highlight God’s grace.
- Reflect on God’s promises by meditation.
- Pray for awareness: ask God to reveal His grace in your life.
- Worship with gratitude by celebrating God’s grace and mercy
- Any time you perceive grace, acknowledge it.
LESSON: Luke 5:22
[22]But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts?
Remember, perceiving God’s grace is a personal and ongoing process. Be patient, stay faithful and keep your heart open to the ways God reveals His grace in your life.
Ensure you find comfort in God’s presence, don’t let anything ruin your relationship with God because his grace will always be sufficient at all times for all needs.
When Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answered them by asking what was in their hearts.
Many people have no desire to enjoy grace and that is why they suffer and lack the grace of God that would have helped them to scale through the hurdles of life.
Grace makes life easy.
PERSONAL CONFESSION: I am graced on all sides.
PERSONAL PRAYER: Father, help me to perceive grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Grace is not a booster for our self-effort, but a replacement for it.
NOTE: Until you perceive grace , you can’t receive grace.
