TOPIC: Grace is Received
MEMORY VERSE: 1 Peter 4:10
[10]As every man hath received the gift, even so, minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
FOCUS: John 1:16
[16]And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.
The grace of God is free but not automatic. It’s an unconditional gift from God that must be received intentionally and deliberately.
Until we receive his fullness, we cannot truly receive from Him. The fullness of God begins with acknowledging Jesus Christ as the Lord and Saviour without any controversy in your heart that “Jesus is Lord” because he is the owner and the source of all graces.
Here are some steps that can help us receive this grace.
- By Faith
- By Prayers
- Repentance
- Partaking of sacraments or communion
- Reading Scripture
The following steps are all avenues to receive the fullness of God’s grace.
LESSON: Romans 1:5
[5]By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name.
The demands of God are clear on how grace is distributed in His kingdom and this varies from one calling to another.
The grace for service is different from the grace of an Evangelist and this is because grace is an empowerment and enablement that infuses into our divine nature.
Higher grace is received through the following medium:
- Followership
- Obedience
- Impartation
- association
- Fellowship
Grace has no limit and no end, it’s as far as your eyes can see. The more you desire, the more you get when it comes to grace in God’s kingdom.
Many people have made a shipwreck of their destiny simply because they refused to receive the needed grace for their destiny journey.
May we receive grace for grace. Amen
There is nothing we can do outside of grace, grace is God’s strength in us and God’s nature in man but it must be received with thanksgiving.
The more you celebrate the Grace the more the grace multiplies and increases in the life of the carrier and the receiver.
In this fullness, we have received grace for grace.
PERSONAL CONFESSION: I receive the manifold grace of God.
PERSONAL PRAYER: Father, I receive divine grace for exploits this year in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: We have to be willing to receive the miracle of grace before we can give it.
NOTE: The essence of grace is the transference of favor from one who has it to one who doesn’t.
