TOPIC: Social Prominence

MEMORY VERSE: Psalms 40:2

FOCUS: Esther 9:4
[4]For Mordecai was great in the king’s house, and his fame went out throughout all the provinces: for this man, Mordecai waxed greater and greater.

Social prominence refers to the state of being widely recognized, respected and admired within a social group, community, or society. It involves having a high level of social status, influence and prestige which can be achieved through various means.

Mordecai started as a gateman but ended up as a prominent man in the society and he began to have great influence even when he was a mere gatekeeper.
These are some of the characteristics of social prominence:

1. High Social Status
2. Influence and Power
3. Prestige and Reputation
4. Visibility and Recognition
5. Leadership and Authority
   All of these characteristics were found in Mordecai even while he was at the gate.
   Always take advantage of opportunities that open doors for prominence.

LESSON: Philemon 1:7
[7]For we have great joy and consolation in thy love because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.

The essence of social prominence is for the bowels of the saints to be refreshed like the way Philemon and then Mordecai who influenced Esther.
These are some strategies for achieving social prominence:

1. Develop a strong personal brand
2. Build a strong network
3. Develop Leadership skills
4. Create value and contribute to other’s
5. Be Authentic and Consistent
   May we live a life of relevance.
