TOPIC: Intellectual Prosperity.
MEMORY VERSE: Psalms 119:98
[98]Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.
FOCUS: Daniel 9:2
[2]In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.
Intellectual prosperity refers to the cultivation and application of knowledge, critical thinking and creativity to achieve personal and societal growth.
Daniel was a man who was known for wisdom, i.e. he was intellectually prosperous.
You can’t prosper without being intelligently sound. Prosperity is more than a desire, it must be developed intellectually.
Daniel must have been a researcher, a learner and a life student of God’s word that is why he could interpret dreams and understand visions.
He boldly said, I, Daniel understood by books. Books are one of the major avenues for developing our intellect.
These are some strategies for achieving intellectual Prosperity:
- Engage in lifelong learning like Daniel.
- Foster creativity and innovation
- Cultivate Effective communication skills
- Develop emotional intelligence
- Seek diverse perspectives and experience
- Prioritize self-reflection and self-awareness
- Embrace challenges and failures as opportunities for growth.
LESSON: Daniel 12:3
[3]And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever.
Intellectual Prosperity is not automatic, and for this lesson, our focus is on Daniel.
If you want to shine, then you must be ready to develop and stretch yourself in the following areas:
- Academic achievements
- Professional certification
- Creative output (e.g art, writing, inventions)
- Community engagement
- Public speaking and presentation skills
- Publish works or research
- Keep track of your Intellectual progress
- Relate with wise people.
No one is born great, everyone designs their path by what they do and how they live their daily life.
No one prospers without developing his intellect. May God help us not to waste our time on trivial things.
