TOPIC: Social Prosperity.

MEMORY VERSE: Zechariah 1:17
[17]Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the LORD shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.

FOCUS: Philippians 4:18
[18]But I have all and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odor of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well pleasing to God.

Social prosperity refers to the well-being and quality of life of individuals and communities, encompassing various aspects beyond economic prosperity. It includes:

1. Education and Personal development
2. Health and wellness
3. Social connections and community engagement
4. Cultural diversity and inclusion
5. Environmental sustainability
6. Public safety and security
7. Access to basic needs(food,shelters,health care)
8. Civic participation and governance
   All these are what Apostle Paul was commending Epahroditus for, that his offering was sweet smelling, acceptable and pleasing unto him and why was that? It’s simply because Epaphroditus had social prosperity which made him very influential in society and that made him a blessing to his community.

LESSON: 2 Chronicles 26:5
[5]And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him prosper.

Yesterday, we established the fact that until someone is spiritually mature he may not be able to handle physical prosperity very well or better still, he may never be prosperous.

Prosperity begins with God because he was the one who wished us well before anyone else, and when we are prosperous, God is happy with us that’s because he wants his children to prosper in all ramifications of life.

So there is a need to genuinely seek the face of God just like Uzziah did and that made him reign for 52 years.
Prosperity is not a one-time slot but a lifetime experience if it is properly pursued. There is no time of age that someone will not need prosperity, the older you get the more the desire to be rich becomes a need and not a mere desire.

These are some of the benefits of Social Prosperity

1. Improved quality of life
2. Increase civic engagement and participation
3. Better health and well-being
4. Stronger, more resilient communities
5. Economic growth and stability
6. Environmental sustainability

A wise man said, until the purpose of a thing is known, abuse is inevitable.
Prosperity increases influence not worth. Uzziah enjoyed good governance because he was a prosperous man.
May God prosper us all in Jesus’s mighty name. Amen.
