TOPIC: The Good Ground.

MEMORY VERSE: Genesis 2:9
[9]And out of the ground made the LORD God grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also amid the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

FOCUS: Luke 6:45
[45]A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

We can’t discuss the heart without the content of the heart, the heart is the ground that produces either good or bad fruits.
The content of the heart is what determines the quality of the heart and that is why we must consciously sow good seeds if we want to have a good heart.

A good heart must possess the following qualities if not more;

1. Purity at all cost
2. Love for God
3. Compassion for all beings
4. Humility
5. Gratitude
6. Forgiveness
7. Selflessness
8. Spiritual awareness
9. Inner Peace
10. Always seeking alignment with God’s will. Harmony with divine principles, values and intentions are few among the qualities of a good heart.

In a spiritual context, a good heart is essential for spiritual growth, self-realization and union with God.

LESSON: Luke 8:15
[15]But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

A good heart is a product of hard work and consistency, everyone is born with a plain heart not knowing good and evil but as a child grows, he begins to learn about what is bad and good from people, environment and interactions with self and this is basically what formulates whether a heart is good or bad.

At new birth, we are expected to change our heart from whatever state it is into at least a good heart by following a simple test.
God in his infinite mercy allows us to choose and our choice determines our principles and majorly formulates our ideology.
That is why I believe no one is bad, but there are people with bad ideologies and principles that make demons possess them to do evil without them knowing the repercussions.
To maintain a good heart, it is important to always take note of the following;

1. Examine yourself constantly
2. Cross-check your values from time to time.
3. Check out what you prioritize most.
4. How often do you forgive and ask for forgiveness?
5. Have a goal that keeps you on guard.
6. Watch your utterances, they are the only revealer of what is in your heart.
7. Mind your association
8. Guide your thoughts from all evil
9. Make the right choices
10. Pray always.

PERSONAL CONFESSION: I will bear good fruits because I have a good heart.

PERSONAL PRAYER: Father, help me to bear godly seeds in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Until your ground is good, your fruits will never be plenty.

NOTE: It takes a good heart to bear good fruits.
