TOPIC: Elisha

MEMORY VERSE: John 8:39
[39]They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

FOCUS: 1 Kings 19:17
[17]And it shall come to pass, that he that escapeth the sword of Hazael shall Jehu slay: and him that escapeth from the sword of Jehu shall Elisha slay.

Elisha was a prophet of God who succeeded Elijah, another prominent prophet. He was a disciple of Elijah and later became his successor.
Elisha did twice of Elijah’s miracles because of his humility in service, compassion for those in need and faithfulness to God and people.

He was a bold prophet who believed so much in his master and never betrayed his trust in him.
Elisha’s ministry was marked by an extraordinary display of God’s power and grace, he walked in the supernatural so much that to date his legacy still encourages people to serve with humility and loyalty no matter how difficult their master is.

The supernatural answers to faith and obedience which was evident in the life of Elisha.

LESSON: 2 Kings 2:12
[12]And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes and rented them in two pieces.

Elisha walked with his master daily regardless of anything else.
This shows us how we can grow and mature in the authority of Jesus that has been entrusted to us and will work through us as we learn to move in that authority.
Each day we need to be walking with our Master Jesus according to His word, spend time in His word and it will bring life and understanding of His power and authority that has been established for you in life.

Spend time with Jesus every day and you will grow spiritually regardless of anything. Let nothing take his place in your heart, walk with Jesus as Elisha did with Elijah.
Start each day saying, “As my soul lives, I will not leave you today”.

We must be aware that we cannot walk in the supernatural except we follow the footsteps of Elisha with Elijah. They are as follows:

  1. Unwavering Faith.
  2. Courage.
  3. Able to work for the society.
  4. Love for the poor.
  5. Loyalty.
    6 Dedication to God.

PERSONAL CONFESSION: I am walking in divine authority like Elisha.

PERSONAL PRAYER: Father, deliver me from spiritual blindness in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Only those who see far can go far.

NOTE: The supernatural lies in the invisible world and it takes faith to partake of it.
