Heaven’s Daily Bread with Bolatito Praise

TOPIC: CORNELIUS (ALMS)

TEXT: Acts 10:31 And said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.”

Memory Verse: Acts 10:22 “And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.

FOCUS:
Today we are focusing on Cornelius. How did Cornelius become a sign and wonder? He became a sign and wonder through alms. Acts of the Apostles said ‘Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God’ and because of that, God sent him to Simon Peter to meet him in a tanner’s house by the sea.

This man’s heaven got open just by giving alms; he had an encounter. God took note if him. It is not only prayer that opens the heaven. There are many things that we can do that can make us to become a sign and a wonder and one of the easiest way to get God is giving. Don’t forget that the Bible said, for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosever believe in Him will not perish but have everlasting life: So, I believe that love is one of the shortcuts to becoming a sign and a wonder. I’m sure you remember the story of Tabitha Dorcas that gave alms and the Bible said that on a certain day she fell sick and when the disciples were called, she came back to life. That is what giving does. Giving is not just for getting; giving speaks for you.

Do not forget that signs and wonders can be provoked and one way to provoke signs and wonders in your direction is through giving. Those who don’t give will not get. You must give. God so love that He gave. Until you give, there are certain doors that can never be opened unto you. Every door has a key and all keys have a door; there are times you prayer and the prayer is not enough, you will need to add giving to it. God bless you. Amen.

LESSON:
Luke 6:38 “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”

We are looking at criteria to become a sign and wonder and our Bible story today is Cornelius. A man who used alms to ascend to the hill of signs and wonders. From our Lesson text we understand that the measure we give to people, God will use the same to give to us. So if you use 10grams, your receive in 10grams.

The Bible is so clear on the issue of giving. God does not want us to live an empty life! God wants us to live a purposeful life as He has designed us to live. He wants us to live with such a precision that we know, our giving is not in vain. When you give, you give to glorify God. Giving shouldn’t be a problem for someone who wants to be a financial wonder; giving makes room for you and increase your capacity. It makes you to become a financial sign and a wonder but if you have not given, don’t bother about receiving because without seed there is no bread; He giveth seed to the sower and bread to the eater.

I want you to celebrate God because He is the giver of all things. There is nothing we need that He has not given to us. He gave us life; His son; Peace; He gave us everything! God bless you because I know that God is a giver but He wants us to bring our seed so He can multiply it. God bless you. Amen.

PERSONAL CONFESSION: I receive grace to give in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

PRAYER FOCUS: Father deliver me from stinginess that hinders financial wonders in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Giving Open doors for signs and wonders. It is Better to give than to receive.

Kingdom prosperity is directly tied to covenant practice of giving.
