TOPIC: YOU ARE A CHOSEN GENERATION
TEXT: Deuteronomy 7:6 “For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.”
Memory Verse: 2Timothy 2:4 “No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.”

Happy Sunday to you reader of this devotional, we thank God for today!
Today we are looking at another virtue of who we are as children of God; we are chosen. I love this because the Bible in the book of Jeremiah told us that before I formed thee I knew thee…” so you have been chosen from the world go.
You have already been designed and destined by God as a chosen vessel even before you were formed in your mother’s womb. Infact, your name is chosen! Before you came here, He chose you. If you were not relevant, you wouldn’t be here; if you do not have a purpose to fulfil here on earth, God wouldn’t have allowed you to win the struggle of who wins the egg in your mother’s womb but because He is aware of your relevance, He allowed you!
Our opening scripture make us to understand that only ew of us that are so special to God on the earth and I am so happy that you are God’s VIP. I want you to wake up today feeling very important!
We live in a world where people trying to put you down capitalize on your mistakes; where people’s trophies are not celebrated; a world where people find delight in bringing another down. That is why you have to tell yourself that YOU ARE CHOSEN!
It says, you are special to the Lord your God. So above all the obstacles you’re going through, irrespective of the situation of the economy or the country you live in; it doesn’t matter what is going on in your body or happening with you right now. All that matters is, You are chosen.
The Lord have made you special unto Himself. You are not an after thought creature which is the very reason you have to consciously declare to yourself, I AM CHOSEN! Amen.
LESSON:
1Peter 2:9 “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:”
A few things that makes you to be chosen:
- You have a purpose.
- You are a winner.
- There are people that it is only you that can help them.
- There are assignments that only you have the capacity to carry out.
Therefore, because of all these, Peter told is that we are a chosen generation. Our generation is chosen and we must not let down the hand of God. We must understand that God is a good God. We must be full of the awareness that before our arrival on earth, He has determined and designed us as His chosen ones, a peculiar people, people born with an assignment!
Do not let the devil preach another message to you. You are chosen! God bless you. Amen.
