TOPIC: IGNORANCE

TEXT : Ephesians 4:18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart

Memory Verse : 1 Peter 2:15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men

FOCUS
Today, we are looking at ignorance as a vision killer. A wise man defined ignorance to be knowledge that was ignored. But sometimes, it’s not that ignorant people ignored knowledge, they did not even know that the knowledge exist. So, the knowledge you ignore and the knowledge you never search for, contributes to the level of ignorance in a man.

Ignorance kills faster than any disease you can imagine because what you don’t know, you don’t know. Anything you don’t know seniors you. For example, if you don’t understand road traffic, it can kill you. So, how much more when we have a vision and we are ignorant on how to implement the vision. When the heart of a man is blind, he cannot think or reason well, he won’t go for right knowledge. Somebody can be very good in accounting and poor in science, even though he knows that he needs science but because if the way life is designed, you have to be applying knowledge in every area that you need it.

I don’t know what you want to do or the vision given to you but it is your sole responsibility to search for the right knowledge that will enable you achieve your vision. Ignorance kills vision when the visioner refuses to know. Anything you refuse to know, blinds your eye. There are people who have the understanding of just leave me alone, if it is God, he will do what He says he wants to do. Consciously wake up and look for right Knowledge. Knowledge is power, God bless you because you will stop ignoring knowledge and start pursing right knowledge that will make your vision a reality. Amen

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

The Bible gave us a description of ignorant people. God is the one talking in the scripture above , that you have rejected knowledge. Knowledge is not something you wish, you go on a search, look at yourself and say you have to embark on this search. God is not wicked, everything God has put inside us can be given birth to, through knowledge. Knowledge is not something that should be brushed aside, if you are going to succeed in the journey of life, you must embrace knowledge.

Don’t be a novice in the area of your vision. Understand and master the ABC of your vision, even if you can understand all but at least understand the primary level so that, when you get up, you will be able to know what is expected of you. Vision without knowledge is mission with disaster. You will not just destroy yourself but also the people hearing you. That is why the Bible says, even though the vision is for an appointed time, wait for it even though it tarries.

In the process of your waiting for your vision to come to pass, begin to exercise your God given authority. God for knowledge! Daniel said, I Daniel understood by books and Paul the apostle said, bring my parchment that I left at Troas. Its time to seek knowledge, what you don’t know, you don’t know. Don’t fold your hands and wait for divine intervention, provoke it by searching for right knowledge.
