TOPIC: DESIRE

TEXT : Proverbs 18:1 Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom.

Memory verse : psalms 27:4 one thing have i desired of the lord, that will i seek after; that i may dwell in the house of the lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the lord, and to enquire in his temple.

FOCUS
We are looking at another thing that helps vision and it is desire. Your vision requires a lot of desires for you to be able to fulfil it. What God gives to you in the place of seeking Him is raw materials called Vision. What drives the vision is your desire! God will give you the picture of your vision, the destination, location but most times He may not give the wisdom to unfold it phases and seasons . But through desire, you will accomplish your vision; it is your work to begin to desire the type of destination you want to arrive in fulfilling your vision .

For example, if you are called into medical practice, the desire to relate and see people heal should be your driving force.This is different from when you are a clergy man who wants to see people save from their sin and live a righteous lifestyle. Desire varies, even though we bring them under one umbrella and call them vision. The vision a business man needs is not same with a Pastor. A teacher needs a level of desire to carry out his tasks, and someone who is not a teacher also needs another level of desire , A man having separated himself, he meddles with all wisdom. Wisdom unfolds and it is in various dimensions as the visionary engages in the power of separation and desire.

How do you get into this wisdom zone? It is through desire, you must desire not to play a fool in accomplishing your vision, You have to make up your mind that, whatever it takes, I have to operate in a level of wisdom that supercedes that of any opposition. Every vision will have opposition. The proof of your vision will be your opposition, many times. Look at Joseph, when he was sold by his brothers, the Bible said, God was with him. That is a level of family opposition, Joseph knew that even though he was facing trial, he should not let go of God. He desired the throne and he got there be desire and wisdom. Don’t let challenges of today overwhelm your tomorrow future , keep pushing your vision through desire and one day, you will wake up and see yourself in the palace. Don’t let anything weigh you down, you are a work in progress !

LESSON
Psalms 145:19 He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.

When you are unfolding your vision, but unfolding the stages and phases of the vision that is always the problem, For example, if God ask you to start a big school how do you start? Do you go and get loan? This is where desire comes in, you have to picture it first, your imagination must go beyond the Pictures you have been shown. You have to look for a physical features that matches what you are seeing and then in the process, you must desire that, I can do this, this can happen.And that is called vision interpretation.

From our opening scripture, if your don’t fear God you are the enemy of yourself because you can’t realize your vision. God does not want us to leave a life of hopelessness or just roaming around the bush, not understanding what God is wants from us.

God wants us to live with specifications and desire is the only thing that births your expectation , through your pictures. If you leave your picture in the realm of imagination and there’s no desire, you will miss your times and seasons. You must know, this is what God has told me to do and am doing it. You can even fail several times, after all the Bible says, the righteous man fall seven times.
So, in pursuing your vision, at least you are permitted to fall but don’t make the ground your permanent Residence. . What makes you to have the courage to keep rising is, the desire to accomplished your vision. God is not interested in how many times you fall but He is interested in your desire and you have to fear God. Look at Joseph, he was sold, Potiphar’s wife brought her own issue, he was imprisoned but he kept moving. This morning, we receive grace to keep moving, nothing will stop us, we are unstoppable because our desires must be birthed. Our vision must be accomplished. Glory !!!!

I receive grace to desire the best of my vision from the Lord and interpret it correctly.

Father help me to desire what is right at all times in my journey of life.

Desire leads to Decisions .Until you desire it ,you can’t decide it!

Nothing triggers honour like good desire.
