TOPIC: FAITH FOR LIVING
TEXT : Romans 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
Memory verse: Jude 1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
FOCUS
This morning we are looking at another facilitator of vision and it is faith. The only thing you need to fulfil your vision outside consecration and new birth, is faith. You need faith to unfold the mysteries around your vision. If God has asked you to do something and you are sure it is God leading you in that direction, then you will need faith. Faith is for living, only the just can live by faith. If you are unjust you will leave by circumstances, by feelings, emotions but if you are righteous and just then, faith is the the currency in this kingdom.
Faith is a must if living is important to you. You have to live a life that is pleasing to God, your vision is from God, the phases, the step by step approach of your vision is from God and outside Him, you are nobody. It is faith that will unveil to you the mysteries behind your vision; if you are not in faith then you are not in God. The Bible told us that He that cometh to God must believe that He is and He is a rewarder. So that you even accepted you have a vision in the first place, is a faith work.
When you are not exercising faith then you will exercise fear. Faith and fear does not go together. Where you see faith, fear is not there and where you see fear, faith is not there. God is awesome and no matter how well a man struggle, if you don’t apply faith to your life, your life will be meaningless. Faith is for living; an active faith will make your vision to produce good report but when you lack faith, no report. Happy Easter, Christ rose by faith and we will live by faith.
LESSON
Hebrews 11:8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. 11:9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: 11:10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
Hebrew chapter 11 talks about people who exercised their faith and got a good report. If you want a good report on your vision statement, then go for faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and evidence of things not seen. If you don’t have faith then you don’t know God. Everyone that must come to God must believe that God is and is a rewarder.
God gave Abraham a vision that needed faith to fulfill and what is the vision? Abraham come out of your father’s house and dwell in a land that I will show you. Do you know originally, God never told Abraham the end from the beginning. He said I will make you a great nation but as at that time, he wasn’t a great nation. By faith, Abraham came out and followed until he became what God said concerning him.
This is the mystery of faith; faith makes you take God by his word, makes you believe God, to do the impossible and see the invisible. When this is in place then, your faith is at work. Don’t forget Abraham did it and God honoured it. Do your own and God will honour you. Faith is for living, don’t forget until you exercise your faith, your faith can never win. Happy Easter Monday!
