TOPIC: NEW BIRTH
TEXT : John 3:3
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Memory Verse : Romans 10:10
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
FOCUS
In this series we shall be looking at factors that facilitate vision. They are like propellers that triggers
an aircraft or a boat. Visions are born and that is why vision can be killed or it can die slowly but this morning I pray that our visions will scale through all hurdles of life.
There are propellers that helps every aircraft and what is a propeller? It is a mechanical device for propelling a boat or an aircraft. Vision needs propellers, things that make it work and the first we are looking at, is New Birth
From our opening scripture, you can’t be a strong visionary if you have not found Jesus and you need to know God to get divine vision. If you don’t know God, you don’t have something that will propel the vision to the right direction.
God is the giver of vision but He wants you to be united with him so that he can show you the part that he has earmark for you. Anytime He is involved, the story is different. If you don’t know God, you will not be a good visionary. If any man be in Christ, He is a new creature and because you are a new creature, there’s something about you that is different from the world and it is the genuity of your vision that is born out of vision and not just passion. What is New Birth? It is been birthed in Christ, you are born again , you have given your life to Christ and you no longer belong to satan, you are now in Christ and Christ is in you and that is why our opening scripture says; except a man be born again, He cannot see the kingdom of God. New Birth is a facilitator of God’s vision to man on earth. Angels doesn’t need vision!
LESSON
1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
You are born again by the word of God and how will you know? Your soul is purified from from sin , you have accepted Jesus christ as your personal Lord and saviour.
If you are not born again, you can’t love God genuinely, no matter how much you try. You must believe that Christ was raised from the dead and that he died for your sin and resurrected on the third day for our justification and Not condemnation.
It is the on this basis, you must admit that you are a sinner. If you are not admitting you are a sinner, you can never be born again.
The first step is, am I born again? and the second is, Lord now that am born again, I want you to save me from my sins as if I never did them. So, we are going to take a confession this morning because today is Easter Saturday, No matter how you love God, you must believe in your heart and you must confess with your mouth and this is exactly what we are going to do. Say: Lord Jesus, come into my life, I accept that am a sinner, have mercy on me, forgive my sins , show me mercy, accept me as one of your beloved, give me a new life and I will be your child forever. Wash my sins away with your blood, accept me to the kingdom of your
father, save me In Jesus mighty Name; Amen.
So, you see you are now born again. it is not more than that? With mouth confession is made, with heart man believeth. See the agreement between your heart and mouth; you have believed with your heart and now you are confessing. So, welcome to the fold, today is the best day to give your life to Christ, you are now a new creature ,old things have passed away. Welcome to the world of visionaries.
PERSONAL CONFESSION
I receive grace to purge myself from all weakness of the flesh so that I can have a divine vision.
PRAYER FOCUS
Father purge me from all filthiness of the flesh and of the spirit in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Until you have born again you cannot enter the kingdom of God.
New life gives you divine access to new visions.
