TOPIC: VISION ENRICHES
TEXT: Genesis 15:1 After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.
Memory Verse : 1 Corinthians 9:14 Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.
FOCUS
We are looking at another thing vision does and it is, vision enriches. The word enrich means to empower someone financially. God was talking to Abraham in a vision that, this vision am going to show you, you are not just going to carry it out but I will reward you. So, every vision comes with a reward. We are not fulfilling or carrying out our vision because of the reward but definitely every genuine vision comes with a divine reward.
God said to Abraham, I will reward you, I am your exceeding great reward, I will give to you what no other person can give to you. Did God fulfill His promise in the life of Abraham? Yes . The word of God said, Abraham was rich in cattle, in gold, in silver. This is the best way to describe the life of a man that is enriched by God. God hates cheating, He said we should not muzzle the horse that threads the corn.
So, when God is giving you an assignment, a dream to carry out for humanity, He already has a reward package, there’s something he has packaged for obeying that vision. For Abraham He told him, I am your reward, you are not going to lack on this journey. It was in that encounter Abraham whispered to God and said; God have you noticed that I don’t have a child and God answered, I will give you the promise Isaac. Did God fulfil it? Yes
Every vision comes with a reward, He won’t out you to carry out and assignment for Him and not give you your wages. The Bible said, the labourer is worthy of his wages. Don’t look for wages, look for vision. For every vision there’s a reward. But if it is reward you look for first, you will get reward but loose vision. Don’t forget, God enriches every visioner.
LESSON
Psalms 65:9 Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.
Isaiah 66:10 Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her
This is what God is saying, I will also do it. He said, declaring the end from the beginning. The vision has a begining and the end, you will be duly rewarded. Who is declaring it? God. When you see that vision, is a sign God has a plan for your life and what does God do, He declares the end from the beginning, saying; my counsel will stand, that which I told you and promise you, I will do it.
You can’t be a visioner and suffer lack; in your assignment there’s reward. God rewards people, when He gives you an assignment, He will back you up. That is why Yoruba people say, He sends you a message and stay by you to deliver the message. God is so awesome, maybe you are afraid, you don’t know how to go about it, there’s provision in every vision. God does not leave his own to suffer. Has God ask you to do something, He has prepared and package a reward plan but you have to start from the beginning. Many people don’t like the process but like the reward. If you don’t go through the process, you can’t be duly rewarded. That is why the bib talked about the wages of a labourer. In as much as you are labouring, there’s a wage God has apportioned to give to you but you have to continue. While you are working on your vision, God ensures that tour reward comes that is why He told Abraham, I am your reward. It is my prayer this morning that your vision will enrich you in Jesus Name. Amen
