TOPIC: ESTHER (BRAIN AND BEAUTY)

TEXT : Esther 5:1
Now it came to pass on the third day, that Esther put on her royal apparel, and stood in the inner court of the king’s house, over against the king’s house: and the king sat upon his royal throne in the royal house, over against the gate of the house. 5:2 And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre. 5:3 Then said the king unto her, What wilt thou, queen Esther? and what is thy request? it shall be even given thee to the half of the kingdom. 5:4 And Esther answered, If it seem good unto the king, let the king and Haman come this day unto the banquet that I have prepared for him.

Memory Verse: Esther 2:17
And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.

FOCUS
Today we are looking at another royal vessel who fought a royal battle but did it in a very strategic way. She was an orphan and the only person she had was Mordecai, a gate man. What a strategy!

Many people don’t know that God is strategic . As poor as Mordecai was, there was a man in the palace that was not comfortable with him. His name is Haman. So, it doesn’t matter your level, every level has a devil, so you need to strategize to fight the Hamans in your life. Because sometimes, Haman can send one to life imprisonment even if you are strong.

Haman was positioned by the devil I believe. Because he was already a chief in the palace,
So why will a chief be envying a gate man. Maybe he felt Mordecai was a threat and he began to plot. When Esther got to know, she did something that was very strategic. Esther didn’t use sword, she didn’t cry, she made a banquet. That was strategic. There’s no one you will invite someone to a banquet and think you have another plan .

That is why I said, royal battles must be fought strategically. If you don’t fight your battles well, there are things you will loose. I can’t imagine Esther insulting the king. Banquet was all she needed to organize and guess what? Haman died instead of Mordecai. Royal battle must be strategically fought.

LESSON
Esther 7:5 Then the king Ahasuerus answered and said unto Esther the queen, Who is he, and where is he, that durst presume in his heart to do so? 7:6 And Esther said, The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman. Then Haman was afraid before the king and the queen. 7:7 And the king arising from the banquet of wine in his wrath went into the palace garden: and Haman stood up to make request for his life to Esther the queen; for he saw that there was evil determined against him by the king. 7:8 Then the king returned out of the palace garden into the place of the banquet of wine; and Haman was fallen upon the bed whereon Esther was. Then said the king, Will he force the queen also before me in the house? As the word went out of the king’s mouth, they covered Haman’s face. 7:9 And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai, who had spoken good for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon. 7:10 So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king’s wrath pacified.

My aim in this series is, every royal person has a royal battle. Royalty on its own attracts battle. Maybe some of us that are fighting and fighting and you are wondering what is going on, maybe we are royal vessels, you just have to strategically fight. It’s not everytime you fight with sword, fasting, praying, Esther only used bonquet to finish Haman and that was strategic enough. She didn’t just go to the king and begin to lay her complaint, she strategically prepared a banquet to eliminate Haman.

May God take over our battles and make sure our enemies go into the same galloos they have prepared. God is so strategic and Esther took advantage of the strategy of God to destroy Haman. Haman never foresee it; if he had knew, he wouldn’t have attended the banquet.

I pray that whatever trap that has been set for you and me in 2023, our enemies will enter into it. Don’t forget that in 2023, take heed how you fight your battles because you are a royal vessel. Royal people don’t go about on the street to fight, they strategically position themselves and fight their battles.
