FOCUS
This morning we are proceeding on our relationship tips on how to take heed unto ourself and how to become a royal vessel. When we take heed unto ourself, definately we are going to be royal vessels. One of the things that make people unroyal is their attitude towards life and people. But when your attitude is correct, everything about you will be correct.
Someone said, attitude is like a flat tyre and sometimes, it wrecks you because nobody drives with a flat tyre. This morning we are looking at relate to support. Am going to explain something that you are not conscious of. Do you know that the reason we relate is, so that when we fall we can have someone to lift us, so that we can be better than we were alone. You can imagine the tragedy of a lonely man.
Maybe you are reading this devotional today and you are saying you don’t relate , congratulations you are going to stay long in wilderness of loneliness. To me, pain is even a sign that you are alive. Recently God was dealing with me on relationship with people and He said to me; you don’t expect people to be perfect because even you is not perfect in the first place and He also said to me, one of the things that affects our relationship with people is our background. There are people who don’t greet their parents in the morning and it’s not seen as a crime . So, you can imagine them relating with other people and they don’t greet, they will say they are not cultured. Am not saying greeting is bad but am telling you how people see and perceive things.
Do you want to be a royal vessel? Then relate to people to strengthen them so that you can be strengthened back.
LESSON
Ephesians 4:32
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
How do I relate to support? The reason people don’t support in relationship is because they are not tender hearted, they are not kind to one another, they are not forgiven. If the yardstick of God is, the way you treat others is the way He wants to treat you back, then I think there’s a need for caution, for us to think about how we treat people. If am relating and not supporting It means when I need support, I won’t have it because the Bible says whatsoever a man sow, he will reap.
Relationships that God brings our way, are meant to strengthen us. So the question this morning is, is your current relationship strengthening or taking from you? Relationship can be very demanding because both parties have different views and schedules. But the question is, how are you relating? Your objective should be to make the other person better, not only in marriage but your friends at school, share not to ruin.
We are getting into so many things in this generation that is not healthy. You shouldn’t rejoice when you see your friend on the floor, your objective is to strengthen the person. That is why the Bible says, woe unto him that is alone. The Bible was not talking about marriage alone but what about other relationships; pastor and members relationship, teachers and students, bankers and customers, alot of relationship everywhere; how are you treating people. Don’t forget, whatsoever a man sow, he will reap. Let your objective towards people be to strengthen them and when you are been strengthened, don’t pay back with evil because even the strongest man one day, will need someone. Stay blessed!
