TOPIC: PRAY WITH THE WORD

For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

FOCUS
Today we are looking at another thing we need to take heed to. For us to become royal vessels, we need to master how to pray with God’s word. God’s word is the answer to man’s trouble. The word of God is older than anyone so we use the word of God to settle every unsettled case in our life.

In this take heed series, we are taking it one after the other, the things we need to take heed unto. Don’t just pray with empty words, don’t just pray because you have to pray, pray because there’s something in your heart that you need to take to God’s table for divine approval. Take the word of God back to Him, the only thing God understands is His words. When we speak the word of God back to Him, it carries more power because he understands it better.

There are people that pray and it is just empty repetitions. God said produce your strong reasons, why do you want what you want?. So, go back to the word of God and locate relevant word to settle every unsettled case. It is not just repeating same word over and over again, you have to come to the understanding of what is written concerning what you are trusting God for.

That is what it means to take the word of God back to Him. But if all we do is just to say it the way we understand, it may not work as fast as we want it to be. When we are praying, we will pray with His word. His word says, we are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood do by implication we know we are royals, our root is royal, so anything contrary to royalty, we need to fight it out in the place of prayer.

LESSON
Jeremiah 7:2 Stand in the gate of the LORD’s house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of the LORD, all ye of Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship the LORD.

Pray with God’s, it’s only God’s word that contains the answer to man’s problem. When you buy a product and it has issues, ofcourse you go back to the manual. That is the advantage of buying new products and there is no man on earth that is a counterfeit, we all have our root and origin in Christ. So, when God sent you to this world and you have problem with any part of your life, either marriage, finance, go and locate the right word and locate it back to Him in prayer.

Proclaim the word, remind him concerning his promises, why you want what you want. Don’t assume He knows; He is Ominiscience, Ominipotent but He wants us to live a life that is meaningful that is why He wants us to know and understand His word. The word of God is our manual here on earth. When anything goes wrong, we need to go back to the manufacturer and find out the exact thing He has designed for that particular situation of life.

Many atimes, the manual may look too big or irrelevant but once a product has problem, wisdom demands you go back to the manual. He said we are royal priesthood, Holy Nation, a peculiar people, we are not people of no value, we are people of great value. God wants us to be royal and that is why we must take heed to our prayer life.
