TOPIC: WAITING/PATIENCE
TEXT : Hebrews 6:13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, 6:14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. 6:15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
Memory Verse: Hebrews 10:36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
FOCUS
This morning we are looking at another way God prospers people and I call it Waiting. Waiting in the school of the spirit is necessary because after you have sow your seed, you need to wait for it to grow and come into full maturity just like the way the Bible says, line has to be upon line, precept upon precept. So also, prosperity is not left behind. You can’t plant today and expect it to bring forth fruit over night.
Many people have lost their harvest to impatience. This generation is a generation of haste, always in haste, now now generation as I call it; you want it now or never. This affects every area of man’s endeavour . Spiritually, waiting is expected. I don’t know how long you have been waiting for God to bless you but I know that you have to consciously wait for the manifestation of prosperity in your life.
Many people abort their testimony due to impatience
God doesn’t want us to be in haste. Waiting/ patience is one of the fruits of the spirit. When you have cast your seed, patiently wait. You started a business, wait for it to grow. You started working in a place don’t resign, don’t be a drop out in the School of prosperity. Waiting brings the full manifestation of God’s prosperity in your life.
LESSON
Mark 4:26 And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; 4:27 And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how. 4:28 For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. 4:29 But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.
You can see the procedure on how to be blessed. First is the blade, followed by the hair. This is kingdom principle, you can’t have it at once. That thing you want, you can’t get it done at once. Line has to be upon line, precept upon precept.
You have to come to a place of understanding that God will not bless you with 10 Billion in one day, it has to start from 5000 then when you are faithful, He moves you.
Isaiah understood this principle of waiting; he said that so shall the word of the Lord be unto me, line upon line. It has to be a little here and a little there. God has a principle and Hebrew 10;36 confirmed it that after you have done the will of God, you need patience, you need to wait. Those who will not wait will be wasted. Waiting is a fruit of the spirit, learn to wait.
Wait for God, tell yourself my soul don’t be in haste. When you don’t wait the devil waste you. Many have met their water loo in the process of haste. That will not be our portion in Jesus Name. Amen
