TOPIC: CREATIVE WORKING
TEXT : Proverbs 10:4
He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.
Memory Verse: Proverbs 22:29 Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.
FOCUS
Today we are looking at another avenue God prospers people and I call it Creative works. What is work? Work is anything you do that meets your needs. The Bible says, he that will not work, let him not eat. So, one avenue God blesses people is through creative works. I call it Creative works because there are some works that are not working.
You have to consciously and deliberately create an atmosphere of work that will meet at least 60% of your needs and 40% can now be on favour. Alot of people are waiting for work, you can create work. This takes us to the parable in the Bible, Jesus was going and met some idea people and they told Jesus, nobody hired us. So, he told them to go to the field and work; those He hired by 9, 12, 3 He gave them the same wages. Meaning that, God wants us to works.
Work is classified into two ways; it’s either you are working for someone or you are working for yourself. Inasmuch as in every labour there’s profit, the most important thing is that the work you are working, something comes to you at the end of the day, week, month or whichever way you have agreed to earn your income. And for those who are doing business, you have to still run your business as if you are running for someone if not , you may not be able to partake of the full benefit that comes with work.
If we don’t work, nothing will work. If your hands are weak, you will be poor. The only remedy for poverty is hardwork. The mystery behind work is that, work refines and as you work this morning, I see God blessing you .
LESSON
John 5:17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.
You can imagine the son of God came to this earth and He hadto work. Jesus said my father worketh, therefore I work. Jesus was an addict worker, a diligent worker that knows the beauty of work. We work to refine, to renew our strength. There are so many benefits of work. You see a young man who is not working but praying. No, prayer can’t take the place of working neither can work take the place of prayer, you have to balance the two.
You must come to understanding of the Bible verse that says, He that dealeth with a slack hand is tending only to poverty. You must get to a point in life where you work and your work knows that you are working. But when you are working and it’s not showing, it means your work is not working so you have to change your work. If Jesus could work then who are we not to work.
Working is both spiritual and physical. So, you must work and make sure the work is working. It is only when you are working hard you can meet great people. Work will provide you avenues to be blessed. Nothing showcases you like your work. Maybe you are in academics, media, fashion, whatever sector, put in more effort and ask God to prosper your work.
PERSONAL CONFESSION
I receive grace for creativity and diligent works.
PRAYER FOCUS
I reject every work that doesn’t promote creativity in the Name of Jesus Christ.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Work without creativity is foolishness without knowing.
Nothing works until you work it out.
