TOPIC: PROSPERITY IS SHINNING

TEXT : Isaiah 60:1
Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.

Memory Verse : Isaiah 52:9
Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of Jerusalem: for the LORD hath comforted his people, he hath redeemed Jerusalem.

FOCUS
Today we are looking at prosperity is shining. The word ARISE means now that you are prosperous, go ahead and shine. There’s no need to look for the definition of darkness when light comes; both can’t stay in the same place. Prosperity makes you radiates the glory of God, makes you to shine, to do that which you will not naturally do.

There’s no time to shine like when you are prosperous. There’s no time to propagate the gospel like when you have physical cash. There’s no time to tell people that the Lord is good, if not in abundance. There’s nothing that communicates the richness of the gospel than when others are crying and you are sharing testimony. No wonder the Bible says, when men say there’s a casting down, we will say there’s a lifting up.

Christ died not just to save us from our sins but to also give us the riches of the Gentiles, so that the blessings of Abraham might come upon us. God wants us to shine, to arise in the midst of darkness and tell the whole world that yes, God is good. You don’t radiate the glory of God when you are in pain and lack. Solomon was a man who commanded prosperity to the extent that the queen of Sheba left her kingdom to come and what she heard couldn’t be compared to what she saw. Even the dogs in Solomon’s house were eating with golden plates. This is prosperity in fullness. God wants you to shine but you can’t shine without been prosperous, go ahead and shine because it is the heritage of every child of God.

LESSON
Ephesians 5:14
Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

Until you are connected to true light, your shinning can’t be authentic. Jesus is the light of the world, when he was crucified, his garment was been contested for. If it was a rag, they wouldn’t have fought for it. When he wanted to do the Passover feast, he used the upper room which is likened to five star hotel of today.

Christ became poor so that we can be rich and if prosperity doesn’t make us shine, then he wouldn’t have died and go all the way. Do you know that sometimes, when people are poor it can actually silent them. There won’t be anything to talk about, the person cannot radiate the glory of God. Poverty doesn’t glorify God so why are you accommodating it?

It is time to awake, it is time to shine through the light of the word, it is time to get out of poverty and lack, destroy stagnation, let Christ become your light and prosperity. Prosperity is something we need to pay attention to and embrace it. There are people who believe that every rich person is corrupt; No there are still kingdom wealth, God still blessed people, He still raises people.

The prosperity am talking about is not a prosperity that makes you live like a peacock. True prosperity humbles you. Have you seen people who are genuinely blessed by God? They are humble. Stay Blessed!
