TOPIC: DOUBT/UNBELIEF
TEXT : Mark 11:23
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
FOCUS
Today we are looking at doubt and unbelief as another enemy of faith. When you are in doubt, you are not in faith, when you are in faith you don’t doubt. Doubt and faith are two parallel line that should never meet in your heart; you can’t be doubting and claim to believe.
Each time you doubt, you have not truly believe. God wants you to believe, He doesn’t want you to doubt. When you doubt, faith is far from your heart. What causes doubt? It may be experience, prolong waiting, delay, when you have believed for a very long time and it’s not forth coming; as a man, there’s this tendency to doubt. But I want to encourage you this morning, God is a covenant keeping God, He wants your faith to be activate; don’t doubt Him, He is able.
The Bible says, when you have done the will of God, you need patience. Job said, I will wait until my change comes. God is too big for you to doubt Him. What He will not do, He will not say, He has the capacity to answer us. May the Lord give us faith that can move mountains. Amen
LESSON
Hebrews 4:6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief
When you doubt, your faith will be paralysed. What doubt does to faith is to paralyse it. Doubt makes your faith inactive that is why the Bible says that, if any man will come to Him, that same man must believe. Each time you doubt God, you have limited God by yourself.
Each time you doubt, it means your faith level is low. God doesn’t want you to come to a point in life where you will be doing things outside His will. If it takes faith to obtain then it takes doubt to loose. This is a season of prayer, most churches are involved in fasting and praying. Are you praying, do you really believe?
Once you doubt, don’t bother going to God, there’s no magic there. Each time you doubt, you have cancel your expectation. Doubt is like presenting a cheque in the bank and they asked if you want to cash the money and you say you are not sure, maybe you were asked to sign and you say you are not sure of your signature. Nobody is going to pay you. Doubt paralyses your faith, don’t paralyse your faith, it’s a new season. Stay Blessed!
