TOPIC: JOY
TEXT: Jude 1:24
Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy
Memory Verse : Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
FOCUS
Today we are looking at joy as another booster of faith. Joy is a fruit of the spirit, it is an overflow of God’s goodness in one’s life. People that are joyful are people whose faith is active and for your faith to be active, you need joy that is full. Joy that is full is faith that is full and when your faith is full, you will produce evidences.
You can’t have faith outside the joy of the Lord. You need to be joy full to be faith full. This morning I want to charge you, don’t let what is happening around you get to your spirit man. Habakkuk understood this subject of joy and that was why he said; even though the fig tree will not blossoms, even though there may not be Vine in the grapes yet I will Rejoice in the Lord God of my salvation.
When you maintain a joyful spirit , you will enjoy a faith full spirit. God wants you to be joyful and that is why when your faith is not working, add joy to it, let nothing bother you its still a new year, you are a work in progress.
LESSON
1 Peter 1:8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory
You have to understand that there are two sources of joy. But you need to know that when you are the type that constantly dwells on negative, you can never be joyful. Joy is mainly a result of what we hear. You can’t keep hearing every junk and be happy so, you have to device a means of hearing God on your own, so that you’re faith will not suffer shipwreck.
Those who hear everything are always sorrow filled. The joy we are talking about is the joy that is full of the Holy Ghost, the joy of the Lord, not a joy gotten from circumstances. Is your joy of the lord? If your joy is conditional or environmental, it means when that factor is no longer there, it’s going to fail.
Those that consider environment and other factors will never be happy. Until you begin to exhibit the joy that is full of the Holy Ghost, Satan will not leave you alone. Shut your ears against satanic information that will dampen your spirit. Anyone who keeps sending you negative informations are actually your enemy. Stay blessed!
